BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Exceeded our expectations

This was booked on a whim for me and my boyfriend’s trip to Maui. The view looked great and the price was right. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to the shoreline but up a slight incline on the way back which is killer in the heat and If you are carrying beach equipment (the unit supplied beach chairs which was awesome!) we opted for the 4-5 min drive instead which was no problem. I was concerned at first about not being right at the beach but this meant our nights and mornings on the spacious well furnished lanai were peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and with anything you needed and plenty of dishes. We cooked many complex meals and had no issues finding the stuff we needed. Laundry was great! Simple and perfect. Smart tv in the living room was nice for the evenings as well. Pool was clean and perfect temp. The unit was SPOTLESS. Very well kept and stocked in general. The host, Maui Paradise Properties, was awesome and communicative. We texted with them many times and they were swift to respond and accommodated our requests when able. I would book with them again in a heartbeat
