Great location, good for families
Initially I was a little worried that this location was too far from the zoo and downtown San Diego, but it was perfect. Close to the highway, so only about 10 - 20 minutes to the zoo and Petco Park, and 30 minutes from the Zoo Safari park. There’s a Rite Aid and Vons within walking distance, as well as a lot of restaurants. For fast food you’ll need to drive. The home itself was great. We had a family of 5, and more than enough towels and pillows for everyone, and I really appreciated that everything in the kitchen was labeled. There are many outlets with usb and c-usb ports throughout the home. Each room has their own AC unit with remotes to adjust the temp. TV’s are equipped to access Netflix, Disney +, etc. It’s great that there’s a parking spot in the back, though it can be little tricky to get out when all the spots are used. Andy sent detailed instructions on how to find the entrance, which really helped since it’s easy to miss. It was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again! Andy was quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you!

Wonderful place in San Diego
Really enjoyed staying at this property. Owner was wonderful to work with. Very clean property and everything inside was new. Convenient and safe location-easy access to the highways. Nice restaurants, groceries etc. nearby. Nicely stocked with some essentials (Shampoo, Soap, Dish Detergent, Clothes Washing tabs, etc). Parking was well explained, convenient (15 steps) and no issues (off street for 1 car). Would stay here again without hesitation.

Why they chose this property

This property is at prime location. It is located on Adams Ave between Normal Heights and Kensington. It is significantly remodeled in April 2023.

Normal Heights and Kensington Avenue are adjacent neighborhoods located in the mid-city area of San Diego, California. Normal Heights is a bustling, urban neighborhood known for its diverse community and vibrant energy. The neighborhood features a mix of residential and commercial areas, with many small businesses lining the main thoroughfares. The streets are lined with trees, and the houses range from small bungalows to larger, more modern homes. The neighborhood is also home to several parks and green spaces, including Adams Avenue Park and Ward Canyon Park.

Kensington Avenue is a quaint, historic neighborhood located just east of Normal Heights. Known for its charming architecture and tree-lined streets, Kensington is a highly walkable neighborhood with a small-town feel. The neighborhood is home to a mix of residential and commercial areas, with many local shops and restaurants located along Adams Avenue. The homes in Kensington range from early 20th-century craftsman-style houses to more modern, mid-century homes.

Overall, both Normal Heights and Kensington Avenue are lively, walkable neighborhoods that offer a unique blend of urban and suburban living in the heart of San Diego.

What makes this property unique

The place was influenced by Japandi design. It is combines elements of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality. It's a blend of two distinct design philosophies that both emphasize simplicity, craftsmanship, and natural materials. Japandi interiors often feature clean lines, neutral color palettes, and a mix of modern and traditional design elements. This aesthetic is becoming increasingly popular as people seek to create serene, uncluttered spaces that feel both cozy and sophisticated.
