Thank you for your review. La Mirage does have 4 elevators, 3 that are working and one that is scheduled for replacement. The property is always on a path to improvements. Please visit us again on your next trip to Port A, to observe the constant improvements
We had a small challange with front door not opening. Cleaning person was locked inside. Maintenance person came immediately and fixed the door knob. We loved the beach and pool.

Stayed here for the first time July 2-5, party of 4 (2 adults and two teenage girls). La Mirage is at Mile marker 62 on the beach for anyone who’d like to know, I looked everywhere prior to our trip to see and couldn’t find the info. The entire facility itself is a little dated and could use some better upkeep, but overall nice and good deal for the price. Our unit we rented was on the third floor towards the front of the unit. Whoever owns it really takes care of it and it was great! Two bedroom, two bath unit and thoughtfully supplied with everything you could possibly think of! The facility map could be a little more detailed for first timers as far as elevator locations and accessing the beach and such but we figured it out. The most frustrating thing was one elevator was out of service the whole time we were there and the others are just all really slow and not very big. Pools are nice size and pretty well maintained. Not sure if they’re heated or not but the water was bath water warm the whole time we were there. The hot tubs were WAY too hot! Like scalding hot! A nice thing for family’s with younger kiddos, they had some noodles and pool things at the pool for your use and on the boardwalk leading out to the beach they have a whole wall of beach toys and stuff. Office sells bags of ice. Would be ideal if they had golf cart access to the beach that’s the one major drawback, but overall enjoyed our stay here!
Overall, we were disappointed with our stay because the condo didn’t meet our expectations, even though the location was convenient. The best part was being able to walk to the beach easily.Unfortunately, cleanliness was a significant issue. We found a dirty pair of underwear in the top drawer of the primary bedroom closet, used dental floss left on a table, black hair throughout the condo, and the floors didn’t appear to have been cleaned well before our arrival. There were also a few maintenance issues. The primary bathroom sink only drained because the stopper had been propped open. We initially thought the guest bathroom shower was broken, but eventually discovered you have to pull extremely hard on the shower diverter for it to work. It would be helpful if the host either repaired it or mentioned this in the welcome information. The listing photos were also a bit misleading. One of the guest bedroom windows appears to overlook the outdoors, but it actually faces an interior hallway. The condo itself felt more worn than we expected. The towels were very thin and well-used, and the pillows lacked support, so you may want to bring your own if that’s important to you. With a thorough deep cleaning and a few maintenance updates, this property could be a much better experience. The location near the beach is definitely a plus, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
