First off, very grateful to Tim for honoring our reservation following the sale of the property to new owners.
This is a really nice, well-equipped cabin. 3 bedrooms plus an additional bed downstairs in a nice set-up. We were appreciative of the plentiful available fans. 2 full nice-sized bathrooms with fluffy towels and great water pressure. It was great to have a washer and dryer in unit. There is a charcoal grill available for use. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The screened in porch area was perfect. There is a nice little reading nook at the end of the hall. My kids enjoyed using the foosball table downstairs. The walk down to the lake would be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns. There is a canoe, kayak and rowboat available for use. The cabin is on Boot Lake and there is a swim platform/raft available. I do think that the only downfall of this property is that the lake is cola-colored with a muck/log bottom. My kids swam once, but did not like the water and had sediment on them when they came out of the water. My dog did not care and loved swimming daily. The work around here is that it is a close drive to many other lakes and my kids enjoyed hiking in the Porcupine Mountains and swimming in Lake Superior. Overall a great stay, enjoyed the proximity to Boulder Junction and the UP. Had a nice dinner at The PI Pub. I do think that this property would be absolutely stunning for fall and winter stays as well.
We had a great stay! The weather couldn’t have been better which is always helpful. We had perfect temperatures and some overnight rains, so it really was just ideal for open windows and comfortable sleeping. We didn’t find the bugs to be any worse than usual in Presque Isle, but we tend to over prepare for them anyway after coming to the area for several years. That screened porch is a GEM and we spent most days out there as much as possible. Our dogs got so used to it we joked we’ll have to add one at home. Screened porches are rare in Presque Isle which is so odd considering the mosquitos in the summer. We really appreciated being able to sit outside and see the turkeys and hear the loons and frogs while protected from bites.
The house is well located and very easy to access. We only heard neighbors one day and it was because they were out on the lake. Other than that, it was like we were in our own world for a week. The proximity to PI Pub and Karsyn’s is super handy, too. Thanks again!

Great family visit
House was great. Met all of our needs. Lower level and screened rooms were our favorites. We were surprised by the fact that there we 3 bedrooms upstairs- we either missed that in the listing or it wasn’t clear as we expected 1 bed downstairs and 2 up. So a pleasant surprise.
Mosquitoes were killers but it is the northwoods……
It was a nice place to stay, but the mosquitos were unbearable. That’s not the owners fault, but we weren’t warned about it at all and didn’t bring anything to help us with it and had to find it all and buy it all up there.
I didn’t get communication for the trip until the Thursday night before at 11 pm, so that’s why my communication is not excellent. When I got there I got another message and a phone number and was communicative while up there. But we were freaking out with no response beforehand.
But the property itself was beautiful and we had a good time.
