Great historic home
The house was perfect for our stay. Very clean and comfortable, and we loved how close we were to walk to everything. Restaurants and bakeries around the corner and the ocean and town down the hill. The cute courtyard was great for hanging outside. Beautiful updated kitchen and bathrooms. Great communication with the homeowner, easy check in and check out. We enjoyed our stay in Portland!

Lovey historic get away
This property was perfect for a birthday get away! It is a small historical home that has been updated with all modern amenities yet maintains historical charm. We loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the bay. The outdoor garden/patio was a great place to relax after a day out. Highly recommend this stay!

About the host

Host profile image
We are semi retired professionals who want to hit the open road in our camper! We we love our home and neighborhood of 20 years and would like to share it with others while we are away.

Why they chose this property

Munjoy Hill/Portland's East end is the most fantastic place that we have ever lived. Many of the wonderful people that we met 20 years ago are still here and are now considered good friends. While we are technically part of downtown Portland's peninsula, Munjoy Hill definitely has a "village" vibe. People are friendly, helpful and really look out for each other. Having the ocean and East End Beach just a few blocks away is fantastic. Nothing beats a morning walk along the ocean, jumping in for a quick swim on a hot day or being on the water in minutes!

What makes this property unique

Our property is not owned by someone from "away" for the sole purpose of renting it out. It is a year round home that has been lovingly restored over the past twenty years. Everyone who visits comments on how relaxed they find themselves. This property is very cheerful and has a wonderful energy to it.
