Having spent five years in Munich running our own business and living in a rental apartment, we yearned for a quieter and more serene setting. Serendipity led us to this humble house, initially considered the cheapest and least attractive in the area. Little did we know that it was nestled in a picturesque mountain resort, surrounded by lakes, ski slopes, Bavarian restaurants, and a rich historical backdrop. As we gradually transformed the house, starting with the attic, we decided to try short-term rentals. With an impromptu listing on Booking, our adventure began unexpectedly.
