About this property
Beautiful Log Cabin on Historic Trail Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole
Beautiful, private one bedroom log cabin on Trail Creek Ranch. Set above the Ranch proper with complete privacy - this is an ideal honeymoon cabin or retreat from the busy world. One handmade log queen bed, full bath with tub, washer and dryer, full kitchen and living room with a wood stove. A sitting porch that overlooks the ranch and the ranch pond, old growth timber and on to the Sleeping Indian in the Gros Ventre mountain range. Amazing views.
Moose, elk, deer, hawks, coyote, fox, to name a few are all your neighbors and an occasional bear.
The cabin sits on the historic Trail Creek Ranch which is one of the oldest working ranches in Jackson Hole. We now rent our cabins and rooms to share the incredible beauty and character of the 'old Jackson Hole'. The Ranch is located on 'the Old Pass Road' that dead ends to vehicles but is a trailhead for hiking and world class mountain biking.
Being on the Ranch, you have access to our outdoor heated swimming pool and free wifi, and the incredible views and company of our herd of boarded horses.
We are located a couple of minutes from downtown Wilson where there is a general store, gas station, the famous Nora's Fish Creek Inn (get the huevos or trout!!), Pearl Street Bagel (the everything bagel!) and several other businesses. It is about 12 minutes from the bustling town of Jackson and 12-15 minutes to the Jackson Hole Ski Resort, and the southernmost entrance of Grand Teton National Park, and 90 miles to the mouth of Yellowstone. Lots of our guests take day trips to Yellowstone to tour the southern lower loop.
The Teton County bike trail comes right by the Ranch and you can bike all the way to Grand Teton National Park! Incredible biking trails.
In the winter, you snowshoe up to the cabin, and basque in the total winter wonderland that Trail Creek Ranch is. Ski out your door onto the 15K private cross country/skate track that is maintained by the Jackson Hole Ski Club. Or come feed the horses with us on our antique(!) snow cat and hay sleigh.
12-15 minutes to the world class Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, 45 minutes to Grand Targhee Ski Resort. Or explore the Teton Pass backcountry - you can ski right to your cabin from many of the runs coming off the pass. No place else like it!

About the host
Hosted by Alexandra Menolascino

Trail Creek Ranch was a full service Dude Ranch up until 1999, when we quieted the ranch down a bit. We now just host guests to enjoy the scenic beauty and magic of the Ranch. Muggs has been here for over 70 years and Alex for 31. The original owner of Trail Creek, Elizabeth Woolsey, built this cabin for Alex hoping she would stick around a while! She did!! And got married and her family of six won't fit in the cabin!!
Why they chose this property
This cabin is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet retreat. It is fully furnished and set up. It is private and has incredible views and is a good viewing spot for wildlife. The quintessential ranch cabin with all the amenities.
If you are a backcountry skier, there is no better spot on Teton Pass to base yourself.

What makes this property unique
The heated swimming pool to cool off on a hot day. The view and company of horses and wildlife. The quiet, the history. There is no other place like Trail Creek ranch. An authentic, working, western ranch.
