This is a very cozy place with LOTS of room. If you love a good porch like we do then THIS IS THE HOUSE FOR YOU!! we spent A LOT of time on the porch in the 72 hours we were there for. Very nice. Love the originality of the house, built some time in the 1930’s. Highly recommend!!
This charming home was lovely and perfect for our get away! It looked exactly like the pictures and we loved the location and architecture. It was decorated so nicely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We hope to stay here again. Thank you!
Close to everything. Nice older house. loved the front porch. It was a great place for us to visit with our grandchildren . The only improvement that I would recommend is a faster internet, if possible.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. Rooms were bright and spacious. It is an older home with many charming features and ideal for adults. There was plenty of ample off street parking. Everything was in working order and check-in was seamless. Home is located in a residential area walking distance to Valdosta State University. It is located several blocks from regional hospital as well.
We faced one issue that was quickly solved. Beth was quick to respond to my complaint the morning after our arrival. The home is comfortable and clean. Remnants of a recent hurricane has left the neighborhood and good portion of the town in sad shape. Most businesses have reopened but did have some few driving issues from downed trees and damaged buildings.
Some cockroach issues. Dropping around light switch in kitchen. Coach roach in back bedroom. Back door spotlight aim at bedroom window. Dog set off motion detector a few times.
Electric system was a problem. Too much on the one circuit for kitchen and dining room. Microwave or hair dryer in back room sucked up all the power and lights would go out. Recommend you install and addition circuit.
Great house nicely remodeled. Would definitely recommend and stay again in future.

I’m so sorry to hear about cockroach issues. I have a pest control service so I’ll definitely let them know. I haven’t seen any signs of cockroaches while I have been there cleaning during turnovers.

Host Beth Haun Completely Irrational
On arrival day, after I went to bed at 10:09pm Beth Haun text me that the house did not allow pets. She sent 2 pictures of my my 7 lb dog at door entrance. My family was still up. At 10:58pm Beth sent another text stating she cancelled my reservation and "to leave the property immediately due to violation of house rules. I would really appreciate it if I don't need to call law enforcement". I received these text in the morning at 8:04am when I called her and she told me if I had notified her earlier that she could have worked something out. Contract stated if violation of rules "Expedited" not immediate departure. Finally she agreed I could stay until 3:00 but I would lose my deposit & my 2nd nights stay. We left for a bit & came back at 10:57am to find she had changed the lock code on the door and my dog was held hostage inside. Beth would not answer my calls or texts. I called 911. She eventually unlocked the door remotely. I did break the rules and understand her not allowing the dog on day 2. But her irrational response harmed my dog. And then she punished me my taking possession of my dog? What if I had received the text that night and tried to leave immediately with no where to go with my elderly mother on a cane? She didn't send me the screen shot of Mom walking up the steps? The house smells extremely musty or moldy. The windows are a fire hazard as even though the latches are undone, none could be opened because of numerous coats of paint that have them sealed shut.
