Great little getaway
We stayed two nights in Tesuque while attending the Opera. Coming home the street was dark until we got to the driveway where the numbers were lite and blinking with sparkly lights. Motion detecting porch light was welcoming. The home was comfortable and the shower huge and tiled nicely. The weird thing was the size of the refrigerator...small, like those in a dorm room. The stairs going up to the bedroom were steep for our old legs, but the twin beds were comfortable and the window provided a nice breeze. The bed downstairs was comfortable even tho it seemed strange in the living area. We would rent there again when visiting Santa Fe.

Don't think I'd return
Though small, the house is quaint and located in a quiet area. The living room and bedroom are all one room, with a curtain that may be pulled to separate them. The stairs leading to the upstairs are precarious due to the steps being narrow. This is not a place for those who like to cook. There is no range-top, but there is an electric hot-pad that will only accommodate one pan. We were never able to get it to work. There was no cheese grater, strainer/colander, wine glasses, etc. There is a washing machine, but no dryer, however there is an outside clothesline. It was a bit disconcerting that there is a shed adjacent to the house that says “Caution – Explosives Inside.” We found mouse droppings in one of the kitchen drawers where dishes are stored. Ant made their appearance on the last few days

Why they chose this property

We are in a quiet mountain setting on a 4 acre lot. We are near the mountain top with gorgeous sunsets and views of the Santa Fe Opera lights and Los Alamos in the distance. Hiking paths are just outside the door. Our black-and-white dog, Beau, would love to show you the way.
