Welcome to Riverdale Retreat! This classic Muskoka lake house is absolutely perfect for your family vacation! Located at the hub of the Muskoka Lake on prestigious Lake Joseph River, this cottage boasts clear waters, sandy shores, sunset exposure and lots of gently sloped land for kids to play and explore. Situated on a large estate lot with excellent privacy and lovely trails for quiet walks through the woods and along the tree lined country lane. The road is open all year and is a short drive in from Peninsula Road.

The Space:
Located in the heart of Ontario’s cottage playground, the cottage is close to the Lake Jo Club, Port Sandfield and the JW Marriott, Riverdale Retreat offers the best of Muskoka cottage lifestyle: calm waters, sunsets, golf, fine dining, yoga and family time. Designed with families in mind, there’s a children's swim dock and family style guest rooms with adjacent bathrooms. The boathouse has a fabulous upper deck for waterside gatherings and there is a Muskoka room with BBQ deck if you wish to be closer to the main cottage. For cooler evenings or rainy days, the TV's have satellite service. On the main floor you will find a primary bedroom oasis with it's own private ensuite bath featuring a soaker tub and a natural granite walk in shower. On the lower level, there are two family style guest bedrooms each with it's own bath.

The waterway is ideal for that relaxing canoe/kayak tour and is away from the main channel of south Lake Joe. It’s a safe place for kids to learn boating and water skills or for people who prefer to swim or wade in calm waters. There’s plenty of shallow water with sandy bottom. Deeper water off the dock is perfect for boating. The large dock provides full sun and is a great place for water sports and entertaining family and friends, a great place for waterside living and perfect Muskoka sunset evenings. Inside the cottage you will find wide plank wood floors, tasteful wood trim and traditional furnishings with an entertainers dream kitchen. Both reflecting Muskoka history and current life at the same time, Riverdale Retreat is the kind of cottage where family memories are made from generation to generation. A perfect year round cottage, it serves as a getaway throughout the year.

Whatever you need just ask! We want to make your time at the cottage as relaxing and fun filled as possible.

This spectacular cottage is located on prestigious Lake Joseph just minutes to Lake Joseph Golf and Country Club and a short drive to the quaint town of Port Sandfield and Port Carling with their shops and restaurants. With lovely views of a quiet Lake Joseph bay and all-day sun, this family compound is the perfect spot for your summer vacation! Lots of room for kids to run and play and swim with a shallow sandy beach at the shore and big open lawns. Cruise the big three lakes by boat, and explore the bays and inlets by kayak or paddle board. Enjoy walks, running, and cycling on the hilly cottage roads. Wind down at the end of the day with a campfire by the lake and build summer memories to last a lifetime!

Other Things to Note:
No pets please. Also Note we will place a $5000 hold on your credit card as a damage deposit to be released once the post check out inspection is completed and no damage is found.
