Property is shabby overall. Efforts have been made to update kitchen and bathroom vanity, but too little attention to making apartment enjoyable. “Coffee Bar” is a wooden organizer for K-cups and a Keurig, nothing special. Only 1 coffee mug in cabinets. Kitchen table is folding “bridge” table with metal folding chairs. Dishwashing soap was a refill container with no dispenser. Kitchen trash basket was the only one in entire apartment (no waste basket even in bathroom) and lid did not work properly so needed to be left open. Not one hanger in closet. Very small travel iron but no ironing board. No towel racks or hooks in bathroom so towels have to be hung in kitchen on wall hooks. Bathmats were filthy. A/C units kept apartment cool but living room unit was so loud we could not keep it on and also watch TV. Unfinished repairs to floor molding left exposed holes in the floor. Several pieces of furniture are in state of disrepair. On the plus side, Host Joe was very communicative and arranged for delivery of hangers, disposable insulated cups, and new bath mats. Bed is comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, and WiFi works well. Neighborhood is indeed quiet and handy location. Overall level of professional attention to the unit is well-represented by the kitchen door mat, inscribed with the saying “Let It Snow” for an August occupancy.
