The Beehive is a two-story, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom house in the tropical garden on Coco Bay, Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. Open living and kitchen downstairs open toward the bay. All bedrooms are upstairs. A short walk through the garden takes you to the sand. Wild green turtles work the shallows off Coco Bay.

Coco Bay, Green Turtle Cay, North Abaco, Bahamas. Walk to the water. Gillam Bay is a short drive. New Plymouth shops and restaurants are a golf-cart ride. Fly into Marsh Harbour (MHH), then taxi to the Treasure Cay ferry and boat over to Green Turtle Cay.

Host was very quick to answer any questions. Property was very clean, spacious and well apportioned. Only complaint we would have is that there was no grill and outdoor shower not working while we were there. Other than those two very small things, we had an incredible stay!

We had an amazing trip on Green Turtle! The house was exactly as shown! Check in and out was very easy. The owner was helpful and easy to work with! The house was in perfect condition!! We would certainly say again!

Spectacular place to stay

This was the perfect house for us! Two bedrooms but they are huge and each has their own bathroom. One bedroom could fit four single beds and a queen and still have room to walk and put suitcases! There is also a third bathroom downstairs that has a shower as well. I would recommend staying here! :)

The whole thing is legit and the host is very proactive and communicative. You are across the street from Coco Bay where you can park your boat on the public dock and see the friendly stingrays and turtles. Good beach for calm waters but Gillam on the other side of the island is better. You are close to green turtle club facilities and Bluff House. Both a short ride with a golf cart. It was buggy this time due to rains so bring lots of bugs spray.

Before this I ran my own property management business on Nantucket for 20 years, so I am used to a high standard — houses ready, details handled, guests looked after. I’m on the cay often. When I am, I also teach yoga.

What makes this property unique

The Beehive is the newest and largest house at Lo Key Cottages — a 2024 two-story home I designed and built in the garden behind the original cottages. I still run every stay myself.
It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps eight. Downstairs is an open living and kitchen space that opens toward Coco Bay. Upstairs, the master suite has an ensuite and a private deck; the other bedrooms share the house without feeling stacked on top of one another. There is also an outdoor bath.
You are in a private tropical garden, a short walk through the grounds to the beach, with bay views from the house and turtles in the shallows out front. Starlink, central air, a backup generator, dishwasher, and laundry are all included. This is the Beehive if you want the most space on the property, without giving up the quiet of Coco Bay.
