The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
If time permits, put used towels in washing machine (but don't overload machine) and, if time permits, put those towels in dryer. Thanks
If you have leftover condiments (Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, oil, vinegar), also eggs, unopened dairy (milk, cream, butter) you can leave those, only if you wish, for the next visitors. Thanks.

I have had a home in Shelter Harbor for over 45 years. Southern Rhode Island near the coast is a hidden gem of an area and more people are discovering what makes this area special each year. Close enough to NYC and Boston to easily reach by car. Amazing coastal beaches, beautiful summer weather, a up and coming downtown area with great restaurants, shops and activities, tons of things for kids and families near charming Watch Hill and Mystic, CT and close to URI. And, of course, some of the best seafood in the country!

What makes this property unique

Our access to an exclusive stretch of barrier beach only 5 minutes away is a highlight here. Never crowded, fully lifeguarded (Memorial Day-Labor Day), gentle surf, soft and wide stretch of sand. The beach looks out to Block Island about 10 miles off the coast and directly behind it is a calm, secluded salt water pond great for young children and just a change of scenery. Shelter Harbor also offer a restaurant and bar in the community less than a 5 minute walk away as well as tennis and pickleball courts for residents.
