About this property

Dog-friendly mtn cabin w/ views, hot tub, game rm

Escape to our secluded mountain oasis where rustic boho chic meets breathtaking views. Enjoy a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, fishing in the Little Tennessee River, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, mountain biking the Tsali, and kayaking or rafting at the NOC. Unwind in the hot tub, by the fire pit, or in the game room with ping pong, darts, and shuffleboard. With 2 king-size bedrooms and a queen-size pull-out sofa, our cabin accommodates up to 6 guests for your perfect getaway!

Our cabin perches on a mountainside above a quiet valley, in secluded rural Bryson City, where it enjoys long range views from the cozy front porch. Its 2 king-size bedrooms and open concept living complete with comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa can accommodate up to 6 guests. The cabin boasts one large bath with double vanity as well as a garage-turned-game-room complete with ping pong, darts, and a shuffleboard table!

Newly renovated in 2023, the original structure was built by a Bryson City native for his daughter with all log and pine tongue and groove. We hope you'll find the new design by Kathy Boardman of Company 114 Interiors & Designs provides modern comforts and a relaxing boho chic vibe, while retaining the cozy rustic feel.

Outside our guests can relax and take in the mountain views while enjoying the added amenities: a lighted path, hot tub pergola, hammock chairs, porch swings, and fire pit.

After taking in the beautiful scenery on the windy mountain roads, you find our cabin at the top of a somewhat steep gravel driveway (which we scale easily in our low clearance hybrid wagon). At the top you will find plenty of level parking (we once fit 3 SUVs and a moving truck) and a lighted path that beckons you to the cozy front porch entry. While we welcome pets and children, we do require they be supervised (and the furry kind tethered) outside as the cabin is located on the side of a steep ridge and there is not yet a fully fenced area... stay tuned for our 2024 updates!

We make the entire cabin available and private for our guests. The only exceptions are a locked storage cabinet in the laundry room and the locked supply closet in the game room which are for host storage only. We also have a single ring security camera flood light that faces the driveway for the safety of our guests.

Well appointed & peaceful
Owners are absolutely terrific and very responsive! We enjoyed our stay and loved the game room. It came in handy when the weather was uncooperative and we couldnt be outside. The porch swings were fabulous. Nice view. Everything was clean and just as pictured. I wasn't sure what to expect with regard to the water, but it tasted great and was in ample supply. Shower pressure was good, too! We brought our dog and he was perfectly happy also. There is a dog cage at the cabin, but we brought our own. Perfectly accessible to everything. We saw 9 elk down the road a bit in Cherokee. Enjoyed the drive through GSMNP to Pigeon Forge, too, it forces you to slow down and take in the sights. Bryson City has many offerings and we highly recommend burgers at Snak Shak and going directly next door for orangeade! YUM!

Perfect Birthday Getaway!!
Our daughter turned 21 and wanted to go to the casino, so we found this little gem close to everything! The house was beautifully decorated with all of the amenities you could want. They even had a little gift basket for the dogs. Alek was super helpful and responsive and the location is perfect. Hidden away and private, but a short drive to everything you'd need or want to do. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing birthday getaway!!

Weekday getaway!
My husband and our two large dogs stayed here during the week! We wanted to have time to be able to work in a new space but also provide a way to not have to interact with the world. It was quiet and charming. Everything in the posting was accurate and Alec was VERY responsive when needed. If you need a space that is comfortable and accessible with no cell service (bonus), this is the place for you! We will return in the future!

Relaxing
This was a perfect little cabin for our first family trip with our 4 month old daughter. The rooms were big enough for her playpen and lots of places for her to lay and play. The cabin was very clean and pretty isolated. The only part I didn’t consider was the mud; it was raining when we arrived; it is not paved outside the cabin and when wet, can get pretty muddy!

Time to Unplug
Our stay was amazing and very much needed. The owners have created a very welcoming and relaxing environment. We did nothing, but unwind and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Thank you again and we will be back.

I'm from the Atlanta area where I work as a nurse during the week. My passions are travel, the outdoors, my lil' dog Juno, and of course creating exciting spaces and experiences for my guests!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I have been vacationing in Bryson City every year since we first started dating and we can't get enough of it! Maybe we'll see you around town.

What makes this property unique

Our secluded cabin is nestled in a private valley surrounded by preserved forests and less than a mile from the Little Tennessee river. From here you can relax in the serenity of the mountain views or venture 20min to quaint Bryson City for the train and other fun or 15 min to the Nantahala Outdoor Center for rafting. The most scenic drives in the Smoky Mountains will be right outside the driveway, and it is just a short distance from the Tsali Biking trails and Fontana Lake adventures. There is also a long trail that leads into the Nantahala National Forest that backs up to the property!
