About this property

Oak Cabin at Ranger Creek

Tranquility is defined...at The Cabins at Ranger Creek!

Nestled like tree houses above Ranger Creek in the wild and beautiful South Cumberland Mountains,
Hemlock Cabin and Oak Cabin offer a serenity and a nature rich environment that is mesmerizing.

These charming, brand new cabins, with front porches, are high above the mountain creek, and are wrapped in magnificent, old trees. You are actually sitting in the trees! You can relax on your porch and watch the creek lazily meander down towards the Savage Gulf, eventually spilling into the state park via Ranger Falls.

If you have a mind to, you can wander down and wade in the crystal clear mountain water.

Each cabin has a rock fire pit with comfy chairs where you can sit out at night surrounded by the sounds of evening, and watch as the stars come out one by one.

The cabins are meticulously designed with extraordinary comfort, efficiency, and eclectic style. Queen loft bedroom, beautiful modern bath , adorable kitchen with retro bright red refrigerator with all you need to feel right at home. Although we list this cabin as sleeping two, there is a comfy couch that doubles as a bed in the open plan with soaring ceilings above. Everything sparkling clean, fresh and new! And oh so peaceful and quiet!. Everything sparkling clean, fresh and new! And oh so peaceful and quiet!
An hibachi on a platform is on your porch for your grilling pleasure.

You can walk the creek and enjoy a feeling of complete serenity and peace. Just sit on one of the limestone boulders, dangle your feet in the water, and just let your mind wander and your heart refresh. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of one of the many woodland critters who make this area their home.

The property has a beautiful pond with benches that you can enjoy.

The Creek House is a quaint and rustic outdoor kitchen reminiscent of an old blacksmith shop, with big grill, plenty of seating, beer fridge, and music closet. It boasts a vintage wood stove for gathering around on cool nights. It is available for your use with prior arrangements through the host.
You are just a few minutes away from the four trailheads at our newest state park, Savage Gulf State Park as well as at the three trails in the South Cumberland State Park. Waterfalls, majestic bluffs, roaring creeks, miles and miles of beautiful trails offering so much for every skill level of nature lovers.

The new Coalmont OHV Park is just a few minutes away.

Ziplining, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing, or just plain relaxing in a peaceful and quiet paradise. It's up to you!

The ideal getaway from the rat race of everyday life, for replenishment, refreshment and total rest!

Cozy, Quiet & an Amazing View
The Oak Cottage was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The location is quiet and tranquil with the Creek just down the hill. We arrived very late but the owner was a gem and brought us a lantern to combat the power outage caused by tornados in the area. 10/10 will stay again.

Mountain Hide-a-way
The pictures you see online are exactly what you get! The place is cozy and the view off the porch is fantastic! Close to waterfalls and day hikes. Met the property owner and his dogs. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Romantic...
We had planned a couple of days of hiking and exploring waterfalls in the area. The cabin was only a 10 min drive from the entrance to the trail. The one night we spent was a nice romantic getaway.
