Weekend Getaway

Cabin was as described in listing. I liked that there were plenty of places to sleep. My boys are 15 and 18 years old and don’t want to share a bed and I also don’t want them camping out on a pullout in the living room so was very nice having the downstairs area. I appreciated the “starter” of things like paper towels, trash bags, etc. I also loved that there was a Keurig, so much more convenient than a regular coffee pot when traveling. The location was quiet but not far from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, just right off the main road. You would most definitely need four wheel drive if it were to snow, it’d be hard to get up the road the house is on if not. Overall, great trip.

Water stinks!

Do not stay here unless you are wanting to “rough” it mountain style. Many things could’ve been overlooked but overall this is not what we were expecting for a family vacation. Number one the water smells horribly like sulfur. To the point my family could not shower or brush teeth without gagging. No ping pong ball for the table and the net was broken. Air hockey table was “rigged up” in order to work and arcade game had wires hanging out. Not safe for little ones for sure. Hot tub may just be old but is rusted on the inside. Kids loved the bunk beds but that was about all the good that came from the stay. We ended up renting another cabin bc this was not cozy and comfortable cabin as described. We did not contact owners until we left bc we felt that even if they fixed what they could the water situation was not something we could compromise on. Owners would not offer any type of refund bc they said they didn’t know about it until we left. Horrible start to our fall break.
