Welcome to your perfect RRG getaway! Located on a rare privately held 12 acre plot, previously Pumpkin Bottom Campground, on the banks of the Red River sits Mountain Laurel! Walking distance to some of the best trails in the gorge, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, or just relaxing in the hot tub there is something for everyone! Rustic luxury awaits with designer fixtures, spacious walk in shower, custom furniture, gas fireplace/firepits etc Lasting memories await!

The Space:
PLEASE NOTE* One of the showers is out of commission. The rest of the restroom is usable therefore, the listing is 1.5 rest rooms. We apologize for the inconvenience . This notice will be deleted and the listing will return to 2 bathrooms once the issue is resolved.

We have special Pumpkin Bottom mugs for sale in this cabin. $25 each or we can ship to you for $30!

Guests have access to the whole cabin.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of the Red River Gorge in close proximity to the Gladie Visitor Center. This cabin is located behind a private key code protected electric gate.

Other Things to Note:
Cell signal is limited/not reliable in general area of this cabin.

This cabin utilizes well water that we filter for bathing, cooking and drinking. Though we change filters regularly, the water does retain a natural sulphuric smell. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinking water if they’d like.

Wonderful get away

We came to Kentucky for the glass bottom kayaking, which was so much fun. We had 4 adults and 4 children and this house was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone. The living room and kitchen were open to each other so we could sit and socialize without trying to cram into a tiny room. The kitchen table fit all of us. The deck was cozy and inviting. We had some people by the fire and some in the hot tub. We also all fit around the fire later for some warming up. The views were gorgeous and peaceful. We loved it so much we did not want to leave.
