The room itself was exactly as described and very nice. The host was very responsive and had some great recommendations for us as first time visitors to Heraklion. The location was good and close to Old Town, but was somewhat sketchy. Many run down properties and trash, but that may be just what the city is. The building itself had an elevator that luckily worked but was very old. Had a door that you had to open and close manually. I am over 50 years old and never been in an elevator like that before. Also lights in hallway didn’t come on in evening and was pitch black. Had to use the light on phone to see. Once in the room itself it was very nice but the building itself was old and the lights not functioning in hallway to the room entrance is a huge issue.
