The accessibility to use the lake was good and encouraged our young adults to try new things (canoeing, kayaking and fishing. There was enough space for everyone, as well. We may return in the upcoming years.

This was our second time staying at this property and love it! It’s clean, the kitchen has everything available to cook meals, charcoal grill available, pier to fish from , firewood for campfires and plenty of room for 8 guests! Definitely coming back again!

This was a great place for our annual family vacation. Plenty of room. The kitchen had all the items you could possibly need. Bedroom linens were very nice and plenty of towels as well as paper products. The kids loved using the kayaks that were provided. It wasn’t particularly swim friendly because of the weeds but the kids didn’t mind. We were able to use out boat for tubing and the fishing was great. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Great Outdoors

We had a wonderful week at a very clean and updated cottage on a beautiful and peaceful lake! We had plenty of space to spread out, plenty of bathrooms, and a beautiful view! Host was excellent and responded immediately to all our questions!

Family Vacation

Perfect spot for summer get-away with family. The house fits 14 people comfortably & is very clean. We spent most of our time on the lake- great for fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding & cruising around on the pontoon. This was our second time back & absolutely love it here.

New Years getaway

We rung in the New Year at this lakeside property and had an excellent time. Ice fishing, ice skating, family games and more. Plenty of room for group activities and privacy as well which says a lot for 5 adults and 6 kids.

Quick Winter Getaway

Great location; tucked away in woods right on lake, but close enough to everything you need in town. No frills house, great layout for group with master suite and 2 bedrooms up and one large bedroom down. Upper and lower family rooms.

The host was great, let us get in before dark & very accommodating. The house was mediocre clean, some waste baskets not emptied, liquid soap from prior guest, no Kleenex, no toiletries, no serving dishes, we had to was pans before we used them.

Fishing Trip -Memorial Day weekend

The house is beautiful and comes fully stocked in the kitchen which we utilized since we prepared all our meals at home. We had a great time fishing off the pier and caught so many fish. The beds are very comfortable and the house comes with plenty of towels for all guests. I would definitely stay at this house again!

This was a great space for our 2-3 family getaway (6-10) people. Plenty of rooms for families to sleep, lots of space for dining and lots of fun activities provided by the host including games, kayaks, paddle boats, firewood etc...The host was prompt in returning calls or texts if there were any issues. The exit from downstairs to the dock was easy for our more elderly parents to get to. The lake was dark at the time of year we were there and we caught just a few fish (bluegill and bass) but saw loons, turtles, lots of dragonflies, eagles and muskrats. The lake was very quiet when we were there, no jet skiers or race boats, just courteous fishermen and pontoons. We were courteous in kind, not wanting to disturb the peace. The lake is shallow so be conscious of that. The house was off a very quiet paved road where we saw countless deer, fox and porcupine along with other wild birds. It is close to St. Germain and Eagle River (about 10-15 mins in either direction) so we did a lot of shopping and dining out. It was a great time for our family.We'll check this house out again next year!

The property is great for large families or extended families like us. The kayaks were used a lot, the deck was nice to hang out on, and the tables outside were very handy for making pudgy pies and smores. There is no real place for the kids to play in the water, but the dock was a great place for them to lay down and try to catch little fish with their nets. The bunk beds upstairs need a little TLC (very wobbly) the bunk downstairs was sturdier. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. It has a charcoal grill but we couldn’t find any grill tools. There were also lots of cobwebs inside. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

This was our second stay at Cast Away Bay and we will be back in 2027! Traveling with 6 adults and 4 littles - ages 2-8 years - we don't feel cramped. There is plenty of table space for meals and the littles enjoy sitting at raised kitchen counter. The fishing is great off the pier, and there are so many great options for beaches close by (Eagle River Park, and Crystal Lake are both fantastic). We also appreciate that the cottage is in a very quiet area (dead end street) but close enough to both St. Germaine and Eagle River to enjoy the run of golf carts, mini golf, ice cream, shopping, etc. We enjoy using the paddle boat and sturdy kayaks provided. We also rent a pontoon for the week from Boat Sport Marina, which allows us to go anywhere on the lake and float. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!
