This architecturally unique 6 bedroom (4K, 2T, 2 Pyramid Bunks) oceanfront home has everything you need for a perfect vacation. Start your morning with coffee in the Ship's Watch, where you just might catch sight of dolphins or the occasional whale. Beach access is right next to the house. Great shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Golf, wild horses, and other adventures are all nearby as well. You won't run out of things to do! Relax in the private pool, on the deck with 180-degree views of the ocean, or in the hot tub. House has lots of books, puzzles and games. Life is “So Good” in the Outer Banks!

High speed internet access. All TVs are ROKU enabled.

Outside: Private pool. Hot tub. Parking for 5 cars. Stairs to beach located adjacent to house. Fenced yard with outside shower, picnic table, patio and Wilmington gas grill.

Ground Floor: Rec room with pool table, foosball/air hockey combo table, card table, large screen TV and soundbar. Kitchenette with microwave, sink, and full-size fridge. King bedroom with TV. Full bathroom. Back door to fenced yard with outside shower.

Middle Level: King bedroom suite with TV, slider to oceanfront deck, and remodeled bathroom with large walk-in shower. Second King bedroom suite with TV, sitting area with beautiful ocean view, access to oceanfront deck and remodeled bathroom with deep soaking tub. Bedroom with 2 Twins, TV, and slider to oceanfront deck. Bedroom with 2 Pyramid Bunks (Full on bottom, Twin on top), TV, and door to private deck. Full bathroom. Laundry room.

Upper Level: Excellent ocean views from Great Room, dining area, kitchen, Ship's Watch and deck. King bedroom with en suite bathroom includes deep soaking tub and separate shower, TV and private deck. Great Room with large screen TV, DVD, soundbar, L-shaped sofa and 2 swivel chairs, wet bar. Half bath. Ship's Watch with 4 chairs. Dining table seats 10. Fully-stocked kitchen with 4 bar stools at counter.

“So Good” was so good

We cleaned kitchen and living room area and then enjoyed our time in this wonderful, relaxing, ocean front haven. Pool table in basement offers fun evenings and the ocean front deck offers blissful sunrises. A place we return to year after year.

Great Vacation!

We spent every morning having coffee in the Ship's Watch and every night relaxing in the hot tub. Could not be more convenient to the beach - there weren't many beach days during our stay (in mid-May) but between the hot tub, gorgeous view, and game room, we were definitely entertained! Keyless Check-In and the Beach Realty app made getting in and out very easy. I hope we can return soon!

There was a tiny ant situation in the house, but we could see they tried to remedy it. Check in was a breeze. Staff called to check on us. Pleasant to work with. There were a lot more stairs to the beach than anticipated though.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this is a great house and we had a lovely stay. The updated kitchen was very nice and we loved sitting in the crow's nest with our drinks. On the "needs to be fixed side", I would say that the bathrooms are outdated and rather dark. Also, it would be nice to have someone take a weed-wacker to the backyard before guests arrive - it was very overgrown and we couldn't use the picnic table. The location is great and the house is a great size for multiple families!

Pretty Good Ocean Front Place

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good: process with Beach Realty; ocean front location; community tennis court was nice; the raised sitting room was great; the house was very functional. Just part of it: tall dune, but this seems to be a Corolla thing; you are in s subdivision, so beach is not so private, but not crowded; pool is front of house; bedrooms are modest size. The not so good: called about a couple cleaning issues (including mold on shower curtain) that weren't resolved; also called about basement air conditioner, it may just be marginal; the ice maker has a leak so it ends up making one big block of ice (we didn't call about this issue); the house could use some refreshing (carpet, etc...); would be good to have a good non-stick skillet. Overall, pretty good.

Everything You Need at the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has a great location, right over the dunes from the water, but it has a few quirks. The pool is in the front, right by the driveway, instead of in the rear, which could make some guests feel on display. Strangely, there is no open deck on the ocean side, though there is a lovely elevated “ship’s watch” room off the main living/dining area on the top floor, perfect for watching the surf. There’s also a sunset deck off the master bedroom where we had cocktails. Everything on the interior was well-maintained, clean and spacious. Most thing on the outside could use an upgrade. One safety hazard should be addressed: there’s dripping water (I think from a hose bib) by the pool area and it has caused a big streak of slippery moss to form between the driveway and the pool. Somebody’s going to fall on that.

We opted for early check in and found we were short towels and sheets for the beds. However they were delivered the very next day. The house was not cleaned well and the yard what little there was was unkept. The rest of the house was as expected close to the beach with the only the down side of climbing a lot of stairs. Pool in the front made it hard to entertain but did meet the need of a quick dip to cool off. The internet was very slow and some of TVs not hooked up for use. The travel to local stores is walking distance. Overall it was a good stay and the house was what we expected minus the preparation and cleaning.

Maintenance needed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed the minute that I arrived from the outside appearance. The outside is NOT maintained at all from weeds and items surrounding the house. I just knew that the inside, once in, would have problems as well, and it did. Ceiling fan not working, surround sound not working, blind pieces missing leaving no privacy, locks that did not work, refrigerator needed cleaned, kitchen drawers & cabinets in a disarray, dishes left in dishwasher, one bed missing bedspread/comforter; need I go on. Compared to other summer vacation houses that I have rented, this was the Most expensive the Least pleasing. I will not stay there again.

Great House ... BUT

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dune Vegan was a great house and a perfect layout for our group that ranged from ages 2-50. HOWEVER, for being so early in the season, we were very disappointed at how dusty the bedrooms were and it was obvious that the cleaning company did not vacuum before we arrived - clothes tags on the floor for example. The upstairs vacuum didn't work very well, the other vacuum was full and there were no replacement bags. Light bulbs were out in lamps and there were no replacements again in the house. The kitchen chair cushions were dirty, so we tossed them in the washing machine, amongst other questionable items. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and the NEW pool, but it just didn't start out too well and I think we all felt a little unsettled for the first few days. In no way do I want to steer you away from this house, but I did want the owners to be aware of our experience. The realty company was great and sent the cleaning company out right away, but they were in/out within a 1/2 hour.
