About this property
Perfect place for your next stay: Vintage cabin, quiet lake, and a classic sauna
Relax and recharge at Pine Haven Cabin, a charming retreat offering great fishing, fun lake activities, and beautiful views on a private lot. It’s perfect for a week-long escape to the north woods. Enjoy paddleboards, a canoe, a rowboat, and a traditional wood-heated sauna. Cyclists will love the peaceful roads and nearby trails.
The cabin is rented by the week so guests can fully experience the area and the beauty of the north woods. Customizable stays and discounts for additional weeks are available upon request.
Nestled in a quiet spot on Sand Lake, Pine Haven Cabin comfortably sleeps four adults or two adults with three children. Sand Lake spans 778 acres and features two islands that are popular fishing spots for northern pike, bass, and panfish. A sandbar near the smaller island is a favorite hangout for boaters. Guests have access to paddleboards, a canoe, and a rowboat. For added lake enjoyment, a pontoon can be rented for $200 a day, $800 for five days, or $1,000 for six days (includes the first tank of gas). Be sure to reserve it early for your group.
Other activities include biking, hiking, sightseeing, and more. With a week-long stay, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and explore everything the north woods has to offer. Thank you for considering Pine Haven Cabin!

About the host
Hosted by Steve Bangs

We love the outdoors, whether it is the north woods of Minnesota, or the pines of Colorado's mountains. And we love being by water. That is why we love this place--it combines all the fun and quiet of the lake with the wilderness of Minnesota's north land.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is situated closer to the lake than most other cabins or houses. Sitting on the deck in the early in the morning, waiting to hear the loons is one of my favorite things.
What makes this property unique
We love the classic lake cabin feel of Pine Haven.
Sand Lake has good fishing, and in most instances, you will not be competing with lots of boat traffic.
Experiencing the wood-heated sauna (the way saunas all used to be!) and then cooling off in the lake is great fun.
We have an RV on site, so you can invite some friends or family to join you.
