If you are looking for Paradise, this is IT. The location of this Little Cottage is 30 feet out the front door to the most beautiful sandy beach. The snorkeling and fishing are exciting. There is a pool on the property, exercise room, Bar-B-Q area and parking. This cottage is completely furnished with all you will need. There are local restaurants nearby and Super Markets. You will never forget the Sunset and Sunrise as you sit in the comfort of this House by the Sea. There are turtles everywhere on the beach in the early morning. This cottage is perfect if you are looking for a serene, calm, quiet vacation. There is everything you will need included with this rental. Boogie boards, snorkel equipment beach mats, beach chairs and umbrella, a pool (unless being worked on) and many more items to make it comfortable. The Bar-B-Q and pool are nearby for the perfect chef. 🌺🌺

Great Location

We stayed in the Lanai the entire time. Saw turtles every morning on the beach. Very relaxing and met many great people! Terrie the host was wonderful.

Perfect Hawaiian get-away

The cottage delivers … it offers premium location (10 steps to the beach); a lanai to enjoy the views day and night; easy trips to the local food truck scene and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Drive a little further north, you’ll be at Dole Plantation and the Banzai Pipeline to watch surfing. Honolulu is only an hour south. We’ll definitely be back - one our best vacations !!

Paradise on Oahu

Couldn't ask for anything else for this little GEM on Oahu. It is great to get away from the hussle of Waikiki and enjoy the North Shore. This little bungalow is right on the beach! Perfect romantic place for a simple get away!

Lovely cottage with private beach access

Lovely stay in the Hawaiian countryside. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves at night is fantastic. The sunrise is amazing. Enjoyed this getaway. Would strongly recommend, this lifestyle just comes with a few easy pointers to follow.

Paradise on a beach

Very clean. Property is right at the beach. Lanai has a perfect view. Sunrise is gorgeous, can see looking out bedroom window while lying in bed. Terrie is super nice and helpful

Relaxing Windward Shore

We had a very relaxing and memorable stay here. The cottage had a great lanai where you could sit, relax and enjoy the sunrise. We were just a few steps across the lawn to a sandy beach with great snorkeling. There were see turtles on the beach in the morning and a few while swimming. Terrie is a great hostess who checked in to make sure we had everything. Definitely worth the short drive from Honolulu to enjoy some real Hawaii.

Wow!

What an amazing place to get away and relax! We spent the week of Christmas at Terrie's beautiful piece of paradise. It was exactly what my family was looking for. We were able to swim and snorkel every day, explore the island, and just spend time together relaxing. Terrie was very helpful from answering questions to providing all the comforts of home. We will be back!

Wonderful place for a quiet trip

Property is perfect for husband/wife trip. Quaint cottage on the beach. Pretty far from north shore and Waikiki so plan accordingly. It’s close to Kalua Ranch and the Polynesian Cultural Center. House has all beach amenities and you couldn’t even tell the place didn’t have ac with all the breezes. I will say, if you’re looking for a place to get ~cozy~ with your spouse, this is not it. Very little privacy with the beach and neighboring condos. Overall 5/5 for quiet beach trip.

Paradise!

Terrie, your cottage is amazing! We enjoyed our week there so much - steps to the beach and the sound of the waves at night - I was so sad to leave. The cottage has everything you could want, fully stocked with kitchen equipment, nice furnishings, super fast wifi for those of us techy geeks. We barbecued, snorkeled, sat in the sun, walked on the beach, cooked Mother's Day brunch. We enjoyed the lanai from sunup to sundown every day - my favorite new outdoor living space rain or shine. I've visited Oahu many many times and finally found the cottage that I want to visit again and again. Thanks so much for your hospitality. We'll be back again very soon.

This cottage deserves greater than 5 stars!!

Terrie, We can't thank you enough for allowing us into your beautiful cottage. Everything was absolutely just perfect & we had the greatest time. From the moment we stepped foot inside the door, we knew we found exactly what we had been hoping for. It was spotlessly clean, very well maintained and fully equipped with all the essential necessities. We were even so appreciative to be able to utilize the outdoor beach goodies & snorkel gear. We also thank you for the fishing guidance. How fun to be able to do your own fishing without having to drive anywhere. When we weren't enjoying our time on the beach or exploring the island, we took advantage of quiet dinner evenings on the lanai relaxing and listening to the ocean. (For those that are looking for a loud, party/nightlife atmosphere, this is not the place for you. This location is truly serene, quiet, peaceful and very easy to get lost in relaxation) Not only was this affordable, it was every bit of paradise we could have hoped for. Again, thank you so much for our wonderful stay. We are already preparing for our next stay with you on our vacation next summer. All our best, Chris & Jaime Brade P.S. Oh my goodness!! A little slice of Heaven on earth.

If you are looking for luxury this isn’t for you, but...if you want a place that feels like home, then you really need to stay here! Located in a tiny community on the Windward side of O’ahu, it’s a perfect place for accessing the entire island. The cottage is literally steps from a gorgeous private sandy beach. The entire complex, though dated (built in 1975), is well taken care of by groundskeepers. Security does nighttime rounds to ensure guest safety and adhere to noise policies. Parking is assigned and extremely convenient to the cottage. Some people noted that the parking spaces are small but we thought it was ample - we had a smaller SUV and had no trouble. Amenities in the cottage were good. Not a huge amount of kitchen items, such as food storage, paper products, or other ‘disposable’ goods but plenty of dish-ware, pans, utensils. There is a toaster, small coffee maker, blender, microwave, refrigerator, and range. The bathroom is great - wonderful shower and changing room. There is a comfortable living room which includes a sofa bed and a trundle daybed, as well as a small table & chairs. The bedroom, separated from the living room by a set of accordion type doors, has windows on all 3 sides, a small dresser, and nightstands. There is a huge sliding door to the Lana’i and the view is simply stunning. The Lana’i includes a table and 4 chairs along with a wicker stand and 2 very comfortable wicker chairs. Plenty of beach gear - float tubes, boogie boards, snorkels, masks, fins, etc. will keep you occupied. Mere steps from an extremely clean beach and a fabulous swimming area. Walk the beach, swim, listen to the waves all day and night, and enjoy paradise. We saw several sea turtles while there. Nearby, we saw humpback whales, several endangered monk seals, & lots of beautiful birds. The cottage is close to several stores, restaurants, shrimp trucks, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the North Shore, and many other points of interest. The owner, Terrie, is an absolute gem and we are so thankful she shared her slice of heaven with us. It’s the perfect place to stay for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. We will definitely be back!!

The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. This part of the island has a lot of Food Trucks, not so many regular restaurants. We enjoyed Ken’s Fresh Fish Market where we got an ahi katsu sandwich and sashimi. Going to the Polynesian Cultural Center is definitely worthwhile and since it is only 10 minutes away, you can go back 3 more times on consecutive days—it is very well run (recommend the chicken dish at the Samoan eating place). For groceries we went to Foodland in Laie. The cottage is well located, it is an older unit but has all you will need during your stay.

Terrie has an amazing beach front property which words can't explain. We didn't want to leave lol. 40 min from Waikiki and the HNL airport. Markets and shops all close by. I will be back! Thank you Terrie!

Amazing Little Cottage

It was the perfect size for me and my spouse. There was construction happening during business hrs, but they weren’t too loud. We loved how close the cottage was to the beach. The lanai was the best part: eating our meals with the ocean breeze. If we had to complain about something, we would say that it does get warm in the cottage. We understand many places in hawaii don’t have ac units, so we knew what we had coming. We tried leaving all the windows open to let the air flow through, so it helped a little. Terrie is great with communication. Answered all our questions when needed.

Beautiful view!

While the cottage is a little old, it's comfortable and had everything we needed. The view, closeness to the beach, and the sea turtles basking on the beach in the early mornings definitely make it a place to experience. The host, Terrie, is extremely helpful and responsive.

Amazing Getaway

We can't wait to come back! The cottage is petite and lovely, with ocean views and a lanai that is just steps from the water. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our host, Terrie, was proactive about communicating with us regarding some construction happening during our stay on an adjacent building, which we sincerely appreciated. Terrie also checked in with us during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. We'd absolutely recommend this little oasis to friends and family, and we can't wait to return!

Great location

The best part of this place was its lanai and ocean front location. Appreciated all the beach equipment. We also saw sea turtles on the beach daily at dusk. From 1-19 max one day. The cottage is a set of 3 with 4 units each and part of a high rise condo complex in need of and in process of restoration. Hence the scaffolding and noisy work right behind the cottage that prevented enjoying its location during the day. (Terrie did inform us of street side work when we made the reservation and updated us that the work had moved to the backside of the cottage but unfortunately it was too late to cancel.) The interior is worn and could use a good cleaning and editing of accumulated stuff. The presumably older photos make it appear better than the reality. The exterior cottage photo is of the other 2 cottages.

Perfect Location

The location and description of the cottage is 100% accurate. It's a beautiful, peaceful location just steps from the beach. You're also within easy driving distance to all the attractions of the North Shore. You can easily have a morning swim, see some sights and then return for a early evening swim...or, spend the entire day at the cottage/beach. There are plenty of food options nearby. I especially liked the kitchen at Kaya's Country Store and it's an easy walk. Terrie is a great communicator and really cares that you enjoy your stay.

I have lived in Hawaii all my life (4th generation)and finally got a place near the ocean to enjoy in my Senior years. I spend days here and have a difficult time going back to my city house. I love fishing and swimming and can watch my fishing pole from the living room, however, now I can also enjoy the sound of the waves, the beautiful mornings and lovely sunsets from my little Hale.

Why they chose this property

I have rented beach houses all the way down the shore of Punaluu, Hauula, and Laie. This area was always my favorite because of the excellent beach that is never crowded. To be able to stay in my swim suit all day going into the water, out to cook, into the water, out for a drink and back into the water is the true Hawaiian Lifestyle.

What makes this property unique

This little cottage actually is enjoyed by all my family and friends. It is just the right size to and is just be an intimate hideaway. The right music at sunset will make for a wonderful memory.
