Beautiful Gulf-Front Duplex in Morgantown. Gulf Shores, AL

Available for rent year-round is the west side unit of this beautiful beachfront home located in the picturesque Morgantown community of Gulf Shores. Watch the sunrise from the balcony off the Master Suite or sunbathe while enjoying the sunset from the main deck below. This spacious beach rental has a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and is stocked for all your cooking needs. Enjoy your meals in the cozy dining room overlooking the beach or on the large deck outside. The den has windows that overlook the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the TV equipped with SAT/DVD and two comfortable couches for lounging. The first floor also includes two bedrooms and a full bath. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom features full size upper and lower bunk beds.

The upstairs has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with SAT/TV, a private full bath, and a covered balcony overlooking the Gulf of America. A conveniently located sitting area outside the master bedroom includes twin size bunk beds. The other bedroom has a queen-size bed with access to the upstairs full-size hall bathroom.

Underneath the house is a large wood deck to rest in the shade, along with an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

The pools are community pools for the Morgantown community located on the Fort Morgan Peninsula in Gulf Shores. There are two community pools in Morgantown and our home is about 400 feet to the closest pool. Half of the distance to the pool is our driveway and the home is gulf front.

We require a 50% deposit of rental fee, lodging tax, and cleaning fee to hold your dates and the balance is due 30 days before check-in.

The house was very nice and the walk over to the beach was fantastic with two small kids and all the beach stuff!! We were there on the 4th and the fireworks display from our deck was very impressive! Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed in many houses in Fort Morgan. This house is by far our favorite. Not only is it on the beach but it is well appointed with everything you need for cooking, grilling and the beach. We were able to fly without needing to go to the store for anything but food. We will be back.

We absolutely loved the house/duplex! The location right on the the gorgeous beach cannot be beat. It was clean, kept up well, and had all the amenities we needed. It was a bit smaller than we anticipated but even with 4 adults and 7 kids it was very manageable. Access to tennis courts and pools was a big plus!! Although 20 minutes from downtown Gulf Shores there is a convenient store nearby and many of the other resorts nearby are open to the public so plenty of options for restaurants, ice cream, shops, etc. Bob was fantastic to work with and we would not hesitate to return or recommend this rental property to our friends or family.

Great beach house!

This house was a great fit for our extended family of 8. We really loved being right on the beach. The private boardwalk, outdoor shower and deck made it easy for all to enjoy the beach. The house is very nicely decorated and comfortable. The upstairs washer and dryer made laundry easy. The neighborhood pools were both very nice as well. The owner checked on us during our stay, which was very nice. This is our first trip to the Gulf Shores area and I would definitely recommend the Fort Morgan area. The beach is deep, clean and not crowded.

Exceptional! Little packing required!

We had THE MOST relaxing beach trip EVER! The accommodations just go on and on! There were sand toys for the kids, lots of nice beach chairs, umbrellas AND beach towels! This meant everything to us because we flew to get there and had to pack lightly! We packed our clothes and stocked up on groceries when we arrived!! The kitchen and bathrooms had everything you need and more!! The beds were extra comfy! The owners are super sweet and were very responsive to any questions we had. The location couldn’t have been more perfect! The community pools were lovely! It just felt like home on the beach!

Family time

The property is very nice and roomy, with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of beach chairs. I think the property photo is misleading because it implies it is one property having the full width porches when in reality it is a duplex. Otherwise listing is accurate. The boardwalk is becoming dangerous in several places and needs maintenance.

While we did state that the west side of the home was for rent, we have made changes to the listing that we hope will clarify. We appreciate you alerting us that the boardwalk may be in need of repair. We are constantly evaluating the porch and boardwalk for safety. As you may have noticed, many boards were replaced to prepare for the start of the summer season. Now that the summer is coming to a close we will definitely reevaluate the property and make any necessary repairs. Our goal is to provide a very comfortable and safe stay for your fun filled vacation. We hope that you will stay with us again!

Needs Deep Cleaning

Arrives to find home in need of deep cleaning, dirty air vents, mold/mildew on shower curtain, tacks sticking up through carpet which child's foot was cut. Owner was quick to respond ,which I declined a visit from maintenance personnel due to the fact that it would take more than a visit to remedy the situation and we didn't want our vacation interrupted.

Beverly, I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. I tried contacting you Saturday evening as your family checked in to my home. I had to leave you a message asking if everything with the home is okay and letting you know if you needed anything to please don’t hesitate to contact me. You sent me an email about midweek and I immediately sent our cleaning person to address all of your concerns. He arrived to find no one there and we started trying to contact you for him to return. You declined our offer. Yours is the first bad review that I have ever received in many years of renting my home. We take pride in making our home a special place for the families that choose to stay with us. Prior to this rental season we refinished the entire exterior of the home, painted most of the interior and replaced all of the carpet. It will be our continued effort to provide the highest quality environmental all of our guests that choose to stay in our home. Regards, Bob

Perfect vacation!

We have been vacationing in the Gulf Shores area for 20+ years now and this is the first time we have stayed in a beach house. Best vacation we have ever had! The house was clean and exactly as advertised on VRBO. The kitchen was fully stocked and beds were extremely comfortable! My boys ages 10 & 7 LOVED having the freedom to roam and catch critters while we were cooking dinner; etc. The peacefulness of this area was amazing. We had no idea what we were missing in the condos! Three hours after we were there, my dad had decided we were never staying in another condo. Thanks to Bob and Skylar for all there help! The only negatives AT ALL were that the tennis courts were under construction "until further notice" and this was one of the reasons we stayed in this neighborhood; and there was no where to put food in the kitchen... we literally had to leave it in boxes as all of the cabinets were full. Definitely not deal breakers and we are hoping to stay here again!

Absolutely amazing place to stay!!

This home was absolutely perfect for our extended family vacation! The owners were amazing to work with and communication was great! No issues and they had everything we needed there. Literally had to take food & clothes, the home was stocked with everything else for our group of 10 for the entire week. I can not say enough great things, it was an amazing vacation!!
