Tucked inside the gated, 24-hour Mauna Olu Estates in Makaha Valley, The Makaha Bungalow is a single-level home built for slowing down - boho-inspired interiors, an easy pace, and Makaha Beach just two miles down the valley.

The open living area has a warm, island-inspired feel that`s easy to settle into from the moment you arrive. Three bedrooms sleep up to 8 comfortably: a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a flex room with a double bed and two twins - one of which is a rollaway that can be moved to another bedroom or the living room, giving families extra flexibility for kids or additional guests.

The fully-equipped kitchen makes home cooking simple, and the BBQ out back is made for classic beach-day cookouts. Guests also have access to the Mauna Olu Estates community pool, hot tub, and gym, all just a short walk away, plus free driveway parking for up to three vehicles and an in-unit washer and dryer for longer stays.

From the boho touches to the relaxed, single-level layout, this home feels comfortable and easy - the kind of place families and groups can settle into without missing a beat.

Great place to stay in Makaha Valley

Overall a great place to stay. While we were there to work, being able to walk up to the Kane'aki Heiau just up the hill was an extra treat.

Family Friendly weekend

This home is beautiful! The backyard is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. 3 bedrooms however, very roomy. We had plenty of room for 4 adults, 2 adult children and a rambunctious 4 year old. Very safe community and quiet. Beautiful views from every corner. Easy access to roads no matter where your destination is. Would stay here again..The owners communicated frequently and were very kind.

Beautiful home. Very clean and fresh feeling. Host addressed questions and minor issue with urgency and corrected it immediately. It was very refreshing being able to call them and speaking to them without a bunch of call center run around. Would definitely stay again when on Oahu.
