Relaxing stay

This place is an oasis in Virginia Beach, perfect for couples, especially if you like feeding horses carrots, we enjoyed our stay while visiting family in Norfolk, our dog also really loved the horse farm, as he was born on a farm and felt right at home.

We stayed from Tuesday 7/29-8/5th. My 50th birthday was spent exactly the way I wanted it to be. I want a peaceful and picturesque view,tranquility, and it was that plus much more. Sali, was the best host she went above and beyond. We all loved the farmhouse!

“The Best of the Best!”

What a Fabulous Respite for all ages! We needed to have a relaxing out in Nature Retreat and this Amazing Place of God’ Country gave us all that and more! Our host Sali was an amazing & incredible woman!! She was very helpful, considerate, helped us with anything we needed and more. She helped our dream of working with her horses come to life. 10 acres to explore and such a comfy & beautiful apartment to relax and sit on different balcony levels. Wonderful waking up to horses outside your deck was amazing!Will go back very soon!! Amazing Place!

Great place to stay!

I can honestly say this is the only VRBO I have ever fed horses at. The house is great and being able to look our the window and see horses in the morning was great. Would definitely stay here again!

My family and I were in town for a wedding and stayed here. Host was super nice and very communicative! It was perfect for what we needed especially with our dogs. Such a quiet and peaceful place! Highly recommend!

An oasis

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at the stables. Drinking morning coffee while watching the horses and chatting with Salli was the highlight of our trip! Hosts were so accommodating to us & our pups-by far the most pet friendly place we’ve stayed!

Farm stay at a beautiful apartment

Our family stayed here while we had work done at our own house. The hosts were fabulous and easy to work with and accommodating. The property was clean, actually spotless, and comfortable. We brought two dogs and they loved the gated areas to run around in. My youngest daughter got to see and pet the horses first thing in the morning. We would love to stay again!

Great weekend in a horse farm setting.

This was a perfect weekend getaway for us and our chocolate lab. Listing is very accurate and ownera were very reaponsive to all communications. Highly recommend!

Everything I wanted for our family. Bed room bigger than expected, location perfect 10-15 minutes most places beach stores activity’s. Son turned three at this location couldn’t of had a better family vacation with birthday cake

Great Thanksgiving Visit

The Stable Retreat was perfect for what we needed. We were there for a quick visit for Thanksgiving with my son and his wife, who just had a new baby 2 weeks ago. We ordered dinner from a local restaurant and the hostess had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner. She even added extra platters and butter! Our 2 year old grandson loved the horses. It was comfortable and fun. Highly recommmend the location!!!

Beach Trip

Looking for a place to get away with my wife and dog for a few days. Nice location 20 minute drive to Sandbridge, 20 minute drive to First Landing State Park. Close to dinning and stores. Clean and fit what we needed.

A bit of green heaven-super convenient to downtown but peaceful and remote!

Came down to explore the beaches and get some R&R. This site was perfect for us. You are 15 min from downtown and the Sandbridge beaches (recommend that over the boardwalk), and yet it is so green and lush you feel you are miles away. Surrounded by horse farms. Upper balcony is great for morning yoga :) Sally is super kind and helpful.

The best of both worlds

Many thanks to “Stable retreat”. this place was truly wonderful. The best of both worlds. If you want the beach life, it’s 20 minutes away, but to come home to peaceful country life is so serene! Best VRBO Ever!!

My family and I have been to a handful of VRBOs over the years, and this cozy, welcoming place takes the cake! Everything from reservations, communication, check-in, amenities and the apartment was more than we expected. They do a wonderful job at making you feel welcome and comfortable. The host's mother, Sali, is such a delight and very helpful. We can't say enough about her kindness and generosity. Besides all this, the grounds are so relaxing with the horses and views. Our 3 dogs loved their stay just as much as us!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!!and

Beautiful property

This property was amazing. Close of enough to the beach. Very peaceful and what scenery! Our doggo loved it! There is a petting zoo around corner! The barn house was beautiful. Plenty of space and parking. Beautiful outdoor deck to unwind and watch the horses! Would highly recommend!

Best kept secret

Felt far away from the city noise yet city living was nearby and easy to navigate. Waking up to sunshine, endless greenery, horses happily munching along made for a perfect getaway. I felt safe with my two young daughters and my two dogs settled in quickly. Upon arrival I was informed of all the rescue work Sali is involved with which made me fall in love even more. This retreat embraced me and my little family and offered a safe haven for all. Would love to visit again!

A fairytale getaway

My fiancé and I stayed here for a month. I am from Texas but was in VA beach for my internship (:We also brought our two pups who LOVED IT!This place/hosts are amazing! For starters, I am an over packer when it comes to long stays because usually (even hotels) will not have essentials that one will need for a long trip. Do not worry about that because the hosts here go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need!After long days of internship work I got to come ‘home’ to the most adorable horses, cats, and even sometimes puppies!This is the perfect in/out of town stay! So many locations are just around the corner but you get all of the fun of the farm!I will 100% be staying here again and I HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting VA beach or even if you live there to book this location and get to experience the lovely getaway!If the hosts are reading this, thank you SO much 3
