This home was specifically designed and built for the ultimate year-round get-a-way vacation or executive retreat!
The space
This unique lakefront property is over an acre and features a beautiful home with amazing views and modern and rustic style accents such as: hardwood floors, custom reclaimed barn wood furniture, vaulted ceilings, beams, granite counters, and big bright windows. Built right on Ochoco Reservoir; this is a true, private, lakefront property!

This home also has a large 16’ x 16’ private lake dock for parking your boat, jumping, swimming, fishing or sun tanning on. Bring your fishing poles as this lake is stocked annually with fish. In 2023, the lake was stocked with 1,000 trophy sized fish (14-16 inches) and 20,000 fingerling. You can find trout, crappie, largemouth bass and bullhead and is considered to be a favorite lake spot for local fisherman, especially in the spring.

There is a public concrete lake boat launch area less than a mile away (lake water levels permitting and access is managed by Crook County Parks & Rec). Water levels at this lake will vary, if lake water levels permit, you are welcome to bring your wake boat, fishing boat, wave runners and all your lake water toys!

This home also has an abundance of toys for outdoor fun. Outside you have a stocked toy shed for lake and grass play filled with four kayaks, two stand up paddle boards at no extra cost (a value of $610 for a 3 day rental if rented separately through Central Oregon Rentals), bocce ball, corn hole toss, disc toss, Tik Tac Toe toss, ladder ball, 3’ x 4’ standing connect four game, baseball and gloves, football, and frisbees.

The lake view yard has a built-in net for badminton, speedminton, and volleyball (seasonal restrictions apply), a horseshoe pit, and a large grass area for playing and running. A large outdoor firepit facing the lake (firewood provided) is great for evening gatherings, campfire stories, singing songs with a guitar, and making s'mores!

This private lakefront home was built for entertaining!! It has 5 bedrooms (4 with walk in closets), sleeps 16 (in beds), 4 full bathrooms and three living spaces: a great room for visiting, a loft for reading a book, and a game room with a bar for entertaining.

The dining area has a table that is 12 feet long, was custom made particularly for this home by a local furniture maker from reclaimed barn wood. This table is perfect for large dinner gathering such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The game room has amazing views of the lake and has a Guiness pool table, 65-inch smart Samsung TV, foosball, cocktail arcade game with over 400 choices of games, poker table top, variety of board games, treadmill and large bar with fridge and microwave.

This home features a large deck wrapping around the portion of the home facing the lake with plenty of seating on high-end patio furniture (seasonal restrictions apply), two large picnic tables to enjoy the amazing view plus an outdoor covered area with overhead fans to get away from the heat, a cozy firepit table for cool evenings, or simply a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view! There is also a large BBQ grill available for you plumbed with propane, so no need to bring or replace propane tanks.

The beautiful chef's kitchen also has an amazing view of the lake and has stainless-steel appliances and the kitchen is stocked to entertain with everything a standard kitchen would have plus ample pantry storage. This chef's kitchen is a dream to cook in and was designed for entertaining, featuring a Magnifica Automatic DeLongi Espresso machine (for making lattes, espressos and cappuccinos), limited-edition Keurig (for making iced coffees and shots), a commercial grade Blendtec blender used by smoothie bars, Nutribullet, drip coffee maker, popcorn maker, pancake griddle, waffle maker, crock pot, rice cooker, hot water on demand and an area to serve buffets. The home has 4 fridges (1 is a wine/beverage fridge) to ensure that you have enough refrigeration to stock all your food, drinks and even the watermelon!

Beautiful Lake home family Christmas
We celebrated a late family Christmas with our kids and grandkids at this beautiful lake house. It had more than enough room for our large family. It was immaculately clean, with beautiful views. We loved the huge game/entertainment room- it was a great place to gather and watch the Bowl Games and so much more! We spent tons of time outside enjoying the lake, having a fire, roasting dogs and marshmallows! The toy shed had everything you could possibly want for outside fun on water or land. We loved being so close to the great town of Prineviville too! Barb, the host, was so great! Once she knew we were celebrating a late Christmas, she arranged to have the decorations kept up for us! The welcome basket and refreshments were a such a nice surprise. We had an amazing time and hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful Home/ + Location
House was Big, Beautiful, Super Clean, and very Organized. The host "Barb" was very nice, efficient, and responded to all of our questions quickly. Nice touches included a "Welcome Basket"of snacks, as well as drinks in the wine cooler (Wine, Beer, Pop, and Water). Each Bed had a little Chocolate on the nightstand. Also, the showers have Shampoo/Condition/Body Soap in all of them - nice to not have to pack that stuff. Easily a dozen people could sleep here very comfortably. I Loved the Under Bed Motion Light for getting up in the night. She has every appliance you can think of, as well as all the dishes, and spices you need. Would be great for a large family get together - lots of games indoor, and out. Kayaks, and Paddle boards, (multiple life vests available) - with a private dock to the lake just steps from the home. I would 100% stay here again with a larger group of family/friends next time.

Great stay at the Lake
Beautiful stay at the lake house. House was clean, amazingly organized, and very well apointed. Everything in great condition. Great communication with host. Very well equipped kitchen. Game room was great for kids and adults alike. Had a great time at the lake with all of the provided water toys. Perfect place for a large group that wants to just hang at the house in a beautiful environment with tons of activities to keep kids/adults busy.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi I'm Barb!

Originally this home (built in 1951) was a get-a-way for my family and close friends but with much encouragement to share this location with others, I decided to renovate the home so that others could also share this special spot and create their own special memories!

I love being a host mainly because of the stories of the special moments and the tears of joy that people have shared with me. It truly touches my soul.

I try and provide the best experience possible, by providing the little touches and ensuring the home is clean and stocked with most things you would need.

Hope you enjoy your stay! :)

Why they chose this property

The beauty of this location is it's proximity to the town of Prineville, only 5 minutes away. Though it is not a large town, to get a lake that isn't hours away from amenities is so rare and special.

What makes this property unique

This property is so unique with an unobstructed lake front view and access. There are no homes across the lake so you have the view of the water and the tree and cliffs on the other side. It is also such a quiet lake with often few boats in the water and the fishing is fantastic! We have our own private dock and have kayaks and stand up paddle boards and games for the whole family.
