Haven Guesthouse in Milwaukie - 2 Bedroom & 2 Bathroom with Fenced Backyard
Our house is a spacious cozy home, complete with an outdoor deck, & a beautifully decorated interior with contemporary pieces that complete the design of our home. Glass doors lead you to a deck with a fenced backyard. Windows in living & dining space are across from each other bringing in ample light. The window facing the street has a mirror film providing privacy while keeping the curtains open. Our space is furnished with various mid-century, modern & contemporary pieces that complete the home.
Our home is on a semi-busy street that leads to the freeway that is about a 2-minute drive making it easy to get to almost any nearby town. The rooms face the backyard making it a quiet atmosphere away from the street.
Our house was built in the 70s making it a beautifully remodeled space with the old charm. As the sun rises and sets at night you may hear the wood expand & contract with what will sound like a cracking of the wood but don’t be alarmed as this is normal for older homes.

Great stay for a 5 day trip! Very clean, quiet, lots of space and a deck for coffee in the morning. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals with grocery stores near by. Freeway close for easy day trips. A suggestion would be a sun umbrella for the deck but overall a great stay, thank you!
A lovely, super clean home. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
Easy check-in, great communication with property owner, quiet neighborhood.
Close to where we needed to be, easy drive to what you might need in way of restaurants and services.
Thank you Alice!
Easy to find. Had everything we needed. Instructions were clear. Comfortable bed. Just the two of us so parking was fine. A little tricky backing out in the road but mainly just at higher traffic times. Contactless arrival and departure. Thanks for the hospitality.
Pluses: The home was beautiful and simple inside. Has a lot of kitchenware to make you feel at home. AC worked and was a huge plus for us. We also used the laundry room and that worked very well.
Minuses: I had to message the host to get check-in information less than 3 hrs before check. I was also messaged by the host about check-out where we believe the Ring camera was being watched since we were 25 mins late to leave the property and pack up the car.
There is no water line installed in the new fridge they have, so no filtered water and no ice maker.
The best part of Alice’s place was how clean it was, especially the linens and bath towels. Also, the location wasn’t bad. It wasn’t in walking distance from anything, but if you have a car you could quickly and easily get to Portland downtown or attractions. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and eating supplies. And the house itself was very spacious. During our stay, it got pretty warm and the AC worked VERY well. The one thing that was missing was trash bags. So we had to purchase some. And we couldn’t figure out how to open the freezer. So there was no ice or couldn’t save the ice we did buy. The beds were too hard for us. We only used one bed and slept in the one that was the least hardest.Despite the minor issues, I’d definitely recommend this place if your number one priority is a clean and spacious rental. It looks exactly as pictured. And yes, there’s a good size TV! We enjoyed the house and the neighborhood felt so safe. It was definitely a 10/10 home!
