About this property
Artfully Renovated space in Walker's Point. Milwaukee's Best Neighborhood.
This beautiful duplex built in 1908 has been artfully renovated to emphasize the historic beaty of this home. While furnishing, I aimed to buy the most comfortable yet versatile beds and chairs. This home is located in the absolute best area of Milwaukee. It is a mere blocks from 5 or 6 of Milwaukee's most sought after wedding venues, which allows a safe stumble home after a great wedding. Of course, Milwaukee has much more to offer than weddings. This home is minutes from true downtown, but once you see Walker's Point, you won't want to leave! I would argue that Walker's Point has THE best food in all of Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs.
As far as the house goes, we have two bedrooms with comfy queens. There is a pull out couch in the Livingroom that is surprisingly comfortable. However, we also have a 2" memory foam topper that can be utilized if desired. I have provided 6 sets of pillows, all of varying firmness/softness to fit your comfort. We have a big "bean bag" that folds out into a full sized floor mattress. This should probably just be used for kids or smaller adults, but if you're just looking to save some money, it'll do just fine for anyone!
WE ACCEPT DOGS (no cats, sorry). Up to 2 dogs 50# or less. I am a sap for dogs, so message me if you have a well behaved dog(s) over 50#. We will just have to adhere to some more strict rules to protect both of us.
The kitchen is stocked with standard utensils and pots. We have some baseline spices (~15) that can be used. Not to mention we have a NEW grill out back.
THE PATIO IS THE BEST IN WALKER'S POINT. We have a backyard that is surrounded by 3 other large homes. This provides us with the most privacy you can hope to achieve in this downtown setting. There is a firepit that I try to keep stocked with firewood and kindling.
I love this home more than I ever thought I would. I was naïve to what Walker's Point had to offer when I bought this house. Now that I see, I want to live her full-time. It's an old home with it's own quirks and I will be honest about any of its shortcomings. For example: neither of the exterior 2nd floor patios are available to use for safety reasons. The 100 year construction has not stood the test of time. Floors are squeaky and this is a duplex, BUT I am only renting out the upper unit.
I know I missed some details so PLEASE call/message me with any inquiries.
