About this property
Wild Billy Lake Entire Property 2 cabins 1100 acre
Wild Billy Lake is your private resort! You will have exclusive access to this gated 1100 acre property. A 220 acre lake, 2 lakeside cabins, 5 rowboats, paddle boards, kayaks, hike/bike trail, airstrip, stargazing, bird watching, amazing sunrises. Off grid privacy at its best, you will be amazed at the solitude. This is an ideal location to gather your friends and family; reunions, group retreats, etc.. Cabin 1 sleeps 5 people and cabin 2 sleeps 8.
The space
The lake itself is over 200 acres. Use our paddle boards and kayaks to explore the miles of shoreline. We have a 3.7 mile hiking/mountain biking trail around the lake while never leaving the property. It is a place to experience the High Desert ecosystem in a private, intimate setting. Mountain pine setting, birding hotspot, views of nearby mountains. Near Gearhart Wilderness, Sycan Marsh, and 90 minutes to Crater Lake National Park. Elevation is 4500 feet with zero light pollution, making for amazing stargazing. Access to the property is through two gates, one being locked for added privacy for our guests. We do feature good cell service as cell towers are within clear view of the property on the skyline to the northeast. Hot spots are an option, but are as only as good as cellular will provide.
Please note; this is truly “glamping” and these cabins are an off grid, rustic experience. Four miles of the access is on a gravel road and although many cars travel the road, an SUV is suggested. Each cabin is accompanied by a finished outhouse and has no running water. 20 gallons of water is supplied in each cabin but interested guests are encouraged to bring extra. There are solar panels that provide lights in the cabins, but no traditional electricity. There is a propane stove in the kitchen area and a BBQ on the deck. Heat is from a wood stove and firewood is provided for it and the outdoor fire pit. You will need to bring your own bedding or sleeping bags.
