This Grand Bahama Vacation Home is located on the water with a dock and boat access. She is professionally decorated and has a simple charm for both the beach goers and the fishermen. We have recently added a whole battery backup system and solar along with Starlink WiFi and a 550lb ice machine that sits behind the tiki bar on the dock. If you are a sport fisherman or like to play on the water, this is your tropical paradise. Pull your boat up to the dock or simply throw your bait in the water right out back at the landing. The house has been stylishly decorated, making it a warm and cozy place to read, relax or sunbathe on the back deck. The landing has a 15 foot deep canal that doubles as a gateway for some of the best fishing and diving the Caribbean has to offer. A short walk down the road leads to the beach or snorkel the canal looking for tropical fish and lobster. Yes Lobster! In the evening, you are only a few short miles from the night life at Port Lucaya where you can dance the night away, enjoy a delicious dinner; or simply sit on the veranda in the rear of the home and smoke a cigar, star gaze, listen to music or even make a little of your own.

Why they chose this property

Traveling throughout the islands, I wanted to build a home that had a tropical feel in a remote location while still having the conveniences of a modern city. Freeport is a cool mix of the laid back life style of the Abacos coupled with a hint of the city life of Nassau. You can drive to the east side of the island and walk for miles and not see a soul; or you can drive down the road to a store similar to Sam's Club or Costco and buy a weeks worth of groceries for your family.

What makes this property unique

Haven Del Mar offers direct access to the ocean from the backyard. You can pull your boat up to the dock, thus eliminating expensive dockage fees. You have the convenience of offloading stores and the catch of the day without traveling or walking long distances to your lodging. Hot day? Jump in the canal and catch some lobsters. Enjoy the tropical fish that live and play under the dock. Swim across the canal and you'll be on a remote beach that its only habitats are blue crab and tropical birds. Hear the ocean waves splash and crash from the back deck.
