10-acre Family-Friendly Retreat by Hamilton Pool

Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the Texas Hill Country while being only minutes to the charming town of Dripping Springs. The house is on 10.5 acres and sits on top of a small hill with breathtaking views, wildlife, and natural surroundings. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets, panoramic views, and on-site hiking trails. Down the road we have the famous Hamilton Pools, Reimers Ranch, and countless wineries / distilleries to explore. Perfect for families, a romantic getaway, or for a small group of friends.

The 1,800 square foot cabin has been thoughtfully decorated to combine both rustic and modern elements with local art and vintage pieces throughout. Tons of big windows flood the space with natural light. Our fully stocked, modern kitchen has service for 6 people and awaits your culinary chops! The spacious porch has stunning panoramic views where you can sip coffee in the lounge, take a dip in the cowboy pool, or have dinner at the large farm table. It is also here where you can take in Texas sunsets - words cannot describe how peaceful it is at night! Explore the 10-acre property on our 1-mile hiking trail. At the end of the day, retreat back to one of the 3 bedrooms with 100% cotton, 500 thread count bedding and memory foam mattresses.
Details about each room and the house:


MAIN BEDROOM 
Located on the 2nd floor, it is a very large, open room with a king size bed (Nectar memory foam mattress), sitting/standing desk, large TV with chromecast, ceiling fan, mini-split air conditioner, wood paneled walls, sitting nook, and large windows. Comfortably sleeps 2 adults (and tons of space to setup a pack and play or bassinet if you have kids). 


GUEST ROOM 
Located on the 1st floor a few steps away from the kitchen, it is a small room with tons of unique character! It has a rustic farmhouse Full Size Bed (Zinus memory foam mattress), super unique tree stump flooring, wood paneled walls, sheet metal ceiling, and antique night stand and lamp. The 2 windows are outfitted with rolling shades to create privacy when needed. Sleeps 2 adults. 


KIDS ROOM 
Located on the 2nd floor off of the Main Bedroom, it is a converted walk-in closet! We've added a twin trundle bed (sleeps 2) and fun decor to make this a cozy space for your kids (or whoever!). The one small window has "near black-out curtains" which is super convenient for mid-day naps. *PLEASE NOTE* this is a very small room best suited for 1 adult or 2 small children. 
BATHROOMS
There are 2 spacious bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both have a modern farmhouse aesthetic, with ample counter space and walk-in showers. The bathrooms are both stocked with shampoo, conditioner (both TRESemmé), bodywash (Dove), hairdryers, and essentials (lotion, toothpaste, travel toothbrush, razers, tampons, pads, etc).


LIVING ROOM
Furnished with a leather sectional, leather armchair, 2 vintage rocking chairs, 60" TV with Direct TV Cable. Large windows allow you to relax indoors while still feeling like you are immersed in nature. The built in shelving includes puzzles, board games, dominos, cards, and toddler toys.


KITCHEN 
Our fully stocked, modern kitchen has service for 6 people. Included are stainless steel pots/pans, metal / glass baking dishes, glass mixing bowls, glass Tupperware, blender, coffee maker, french press, hand mixer, instant pot, toaster, colander, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, measuring cups/spoons, pitcher, tea kettle, glasses, and wine glasses. If there is something you need and it's not listed, feel free to message me in advance and I can make sure it's stocked! We will also have ground coffee, filters, sugar, olive oil, and basic spices stocked.


PATIO
This is the best "room" in the house! We have a covered lounge sitting area with coffee and side tables as well as a 6-person farmhouse dining table. There is also a charcoal grill / smoker and a chiminea for your enjoyment. Please remember to bring firewood or charcoal if you plan to use these amenities because we do not provide either (you can pick up both at Hamilton Market down the road).


POOL
Also on the patio is our 10ft Cowboy Pool where you can soak after a long day of enjoying the Hill Country (open April 15 through November). The Cowboy Pool is chlorinated and outfitted with an automatic water filter and pump (the pool is not heated). It is above ground and in direct sunlight, so in the hot summer months, the water can get quite warm. The best times to enjoy the pool are early in the morning or in early afternoon (perfect time to relax while you watch the sunset). We have posted our pool rules in front of the pool and in our house rules; please review before booking. By renting our property you are agreeing that you will hold us harmless of any illness or injury during your stay, including pool injuries.



INTERNET
We have satellite internet and the last speed test was 35.7 Mbps download, and 5.59 Mbps upload. Everyone's internet needs are different, so it's hard to say whether this is sufficient for your needs. I will say that I work from the cabin periodically, and I have no issue with solo tasks, but I do experience a few seconds delay on video calls so I usually call in with my phone instead. Also, I notice uploading FB / IG Stories take a little longer than when I am in the city, but all the more reason to disconnect and be present with your friends and family.


BABY ITEMS 
We have our own kiddos so the house is already stocked with everything you might need - High Chair, Pack & Play, Bassinet, Step Stool, Child Bath, Safety Gate for stairs, Diaper Sprayer (for cloth diapers), Toddler toys, Kid plates and cutlery.


PROPERTY 
We have marked a mile of hiking trails along the property and it is one of our favorite things to share with guests! The east side of the property is the easy side and totally kid-friendly. The west side of the property (along the steep hill) is more challenging. We kindly ask you to respect the land, and refrain from littering or leaving anything behind. We encourage you to explore and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, but you do so at your own risk. By renting our property you are agreeing that you will hold us harmless of any illness or injury during your stay. Also, please be mindful not to wander onto any other properties (not all property lines are marked with fences; If you stay on the trails, you will stay on our property. )


MAX GROUP SIZE 
The max group size is 6 (inclusive of children), but the property is best suited for groups with no more than 5 adults. We want to make sure the house is big enough for your group, so please consider the sleeping arrangements and whether there will be enough space for your family / friends. The upstairs bedroom is large and comfortably fits 2 adults in a king size bed. The kids room is upstairs and is a converted closet best suited for 2 children or 1 adult. The downstairs room is a small room with a full bed that can fit 2 adults, but please be aware it’s a small room.


GETTING HERE 
Wynd Ranch s located on a private, country road so expect a portion of the drive to be a bit bumpy. It adds to the adventure! - Pool Rules: shower before entering, no glass, children under 12 must be supervised, replace cover after use, swim at your own risk. Pool is available for guest use between April - November.
