Welcome to The Hive, a charming Gulf Shores vacation home located in the brand-new Lost Dunes Cottages community, lot H. Professionally managed by Kaiser Vacation Rentals, The Hive greets you with a tastefully themed interior design and a gift from the homeowner's personal honeybee farm.

Offering 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this Gulf Shores vacation home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. The Hive's features include a fully appointed kitchen and ample dining room seating. With space for 6 at the farm-style table as well as 4 more seats at the bar, there is plenty of room for the entire family to gather for a home-cooked meal. Plus, family time is top of mind with a variety of seating options in the living room and on each of the 3 exterior decks. What's more, on top of being conveniently nestled between the beach and the lagoon, Lost Dunes Cottages offers 2 community swimming pools (one of them is heated March-May) and a hot tub. With 4 different options for spending time in the water, The Hive is the perfect location for enjoying everything Gulf Shores has to offer.

Upon entry to the main floor of The Hive, guests are greeted by an open-concept kitchen, dining room, and living room overlooking a large deck on one side and a smaller deck with a picnic table on the other. The main floor also offers a spacious queen bedroom and an en suite bathroom that can also be accessed from the hallway. Upstairs, guests will find a bedroom with 2 double beds and an en suite bathroom as well as 2 other large king suites. Additionally, the top floor offers another oversized deck that can be accessed from the hallway or one of the king suites and a laundry room. In the 4-car carport, guests will find a room filled with various beach toys and chairs, a beach wagon, an outdoor shower, and a gas grill. Beyond the family-friendly floor plan, this Gulf Shores vacation home offers comfortable indoor and outdoor seating for the entire family, plus generous flat-screen TVs in the living area and in every bedroom.

Guests under 25 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 for the duration of their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome at this property. Smoking is strictly forbidden. Winter monthly rates are available. Kaiser Vacation Rentals practices †Enhanced Cleaning protocol which includes a complete linen turn-over after every guest. The Hive is best booked directly through the Kaiser Vacation Rentals website. This home can comfortably accommodate up to four vehicles in the carport.

This home was wonderful. It was clean and very comfortable for our family. Thr kitchen was well stocke. It was short walk to the beach and the beach wagon. Chairs, and the toys were a great addition. And the honey was a sweet delicious treat.The pool and hot tub were at best lukewarm. But was told they are going to be making improvements to the system. Over all it was a great place to stay and will stay again.

The Hive was clean, decorated to the tee, just beautiful. We had everything needed to have an amazing vacation. It was very close to the beach, the lagoon, and many restaurants. We have runners in our family, it was perfect for that as well. Can’t leave out the host staff who was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, would love to visit again!

The property was very clean and felt like a proper beach home. The location along West Beach Blvd was absolutely perfect and made for a very short walk to the beach, and quick 5 minute drives to some of the popular restaurant options. There were plenty of beach chairs and a beach wagon to help carry all of our items each day. The Hive had plenty of room to fit the 7 adults and 2 babies that we traveled with and we can’t wait to come back.

The Hive was a perfect setting for our extended family vacation in Gulf Shores! It was clean, well organized, and decorated tastefully. Perfect Girls Trip

Great Stay at The Hive Cottage

This was our first visit to Gulf Shores, and we could not have asked for a better place to spend our vacation than at The Hive. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and pool/hot tub. The whole house was enjoyable, from the comfortable beds to being well-stocked with everything you need, even games for game night. The next time we visit Gulf Shores, we'll definitely stay at The Hive!

Beautiful Rental

This home was very nice, clean, good location and easy to find. It had everything you would need in a beach vacation, plenty of beach towels, toys, wagon to pull all the beach things including umbrellas and chairs. It is beautifully furnished with lots of items in the kitchen you would need. I can't say enough good things about it.

Snow Birds New to Gulf Shores

We had a great time and the cottage was extremely nice and clean. The cottage is in a perfect location and we jotted just across the street every night to see the beautiful sunsets! The beach chairs the owners provided were a highlight as well! We didn't have to worry about making extra space in the car for the drive down. Highly recommend renting this place because we could tell the owners took lots of time and care into making the cottage a home away from home. Thanks so much, we want to come back again!

Everything was great until…

Everything was great until the neighbors next door lit up their marijuana. That alone takes away from this being a family friendly neighborhood. Who wants to smell skunk while sitting on the patio?

Fall Break Getaway!

Our stay was wonderful! I stayed with my daughter, her husband, and her two children. The beach this time of year was sunny, the water was clear, and it was very neat to see the dolphins. The Hive was in perfect proximity to the beach, and it was very nice to have a bathroom next to the beach so we didn’t have to constantly walk back and forth. The beach wagon the Guenthers provided made it so easy to carry the chairs they also provided and our beach stuff. The beds were comfortable! My granddaughter loved the books they had available, and I enjoyed them myself. The booklet they had was nice to look through and gave great recommendations on places to eat, which was nice since we are new to the Gulf Shores area. Being a brand-new unit, I could tell everything was stocked well, very clean, and well thought out. We look forward to booking our next stay soon!

Best trip to Gulf Shores

We come to Gulf Shores every summer for a week with our friends. In 8 years, this was our first time not in a high rise condo directly on the beach. We weren’t sure if we would like it, but we loved it. Excellent access to the beach. It was so nice being able to park 3 cars under the condo and still have room for all our wagons and beach gear. We loved the outdoor shower and hose. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We all wanted to know where the couches came from. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bedrooms are very spacious. Definitely a wonderful place to stay with multiple families.

Winter Getaway

Our stay was great! Even though the weather was a little cold, the cards and poker set and other games were great to have something indoors to do. The beds were very comfortable, and I loved being able to sit on the deck and drink my coffee in the mornings. The proximity to the beach was perfect. We also loved the proximity to all the restaurants and activities we wanted to go to. We will definitely visit The Hive again soon!

AMAZING luxurious beach retreat

Our family recently enjoyed an after-Thanksgiving gathering at The Hive in beautiful Gulf Shores, AL. There were eight (all adults) in our group, and the unit had plenty of room and privacy for everyone. We had an amazing and relaxed time! All four bedrooms (three upstairs, one downstairs) boasted tasteful decor, super comfortable beds/bedding, large flat-screened TVs, and closet and drawer storage. Each bedroom had an adjoining private bath with sparkling clean surfaces, upgraded fixtures, a hairdryer, and fluffy towels. We never felt crowded in the spacious, open-concept kitchen/living/dining area. Large, comfortable sofas and chairs accommodated everyone as we watched conference football games broadcast on the oversized flat-screen TV. Like in the bedrooms, the decor is lovely, with unique wall art, beachy knick-knacks, and books—it truly feels like a home away from home! The fully-equipped kitchen offered everything we needed—a roomy frig and a large dishwasher, ample stoneware and melamine dishes, lots of silverware and cooking utensils, and enough beverage and bar glasses for everyone. There was even a Ninja blender for my son's smoothies and a De’Longhi Espresso & Coffee Machine for the coffee fanatics in our group! Heading outside, there are three roomy decks, two with just seating and one with a dining table and seating. Each is positioned for privacy from other units on the property—perfect for early-morning coffee time! We've stayed in Gulf Shores several times, but this property was the most conveniently located. We accessed the beach on the boardwalk across the street from our property, and the fishing lagoon was only a short walk away. The condo has ready-to-carry beach chairs for guests, so you don't need to bring your own. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings under the sunset skies in the hot tub and heated pool. During the day, we caught a few rays at the regular pool that has a refreshing sun ledge for comfortable cooling. All of the pools were just steps away from our unit. Super convenient!! Overall, we felt comfortable and welcomed in The Hive and enjoyed the luxurious upgrades. We plan to rebook next year during the summer season! I highly recommend this property.

No need to bring your own pillow

We had a great time at The Hive! We were escaping the cold of Nebraska and the trip did not disappoint. The white sand beach was gorgeous and a very short walk from the cottage. We had been in Galveston the week before and the Gulf Shores beach was so much better. My husband and I enjoy different pillows and The Hive had a variety of pillow and bed choices. We both slept well especially after a dip in the hot tub. The cottage had everything you could think you would need. The owners have done a great job making it a home away from home. We will definitely rent again and bring the family.
