About this property
Beautiful & One-of-a-Kind Downtown Minturn Apartment. Minutes to Vail.
Minturn Haus is a fully-licensed and insured vacation home rental.
Minturn Haus at 107 Williams Street is a one-of-a-kind two room, second floor apartment/vacation home in downtown, historic Minturn. This unique property is five minutes to Vail and Beaver Creek, and is owned and managed by the McLaughlin Family.
107 Williams Street, built in 1902, oozes charm and historic character. From the hand-painted vineyard outside mural, wood floors throughout, high quality furniture and bedding, the apartment provides comfort and walkable access to restaurants and shops in the heart of Minturn's vibrant Restaurant District.
Monkshood Cellars, a working winery and cidery, is located on the first level, offers sales and tastings during the week and by appointment.
The apartment, on the second floor of the historic building, is accessed by an outside (covered) set of stairs and is the only apartment in the building. The apartment is made of up two separate rooms and an outdoor deck.
The room at the top right of the stairs is a detached bedroom with three high quality beds (one king and two queens). The beds feature all new linens including Pendleton wool blankets and Brooklinen down comforters/sheets.
Because the beds are in one loft style room, this arrangement is best for families or close friends. The bedroom has direct access to the outside deck in the spring, summer, and fall and has a small television with DirecTV.
The other room directly across from the bedroom, six feet outside under the same roof that covers the stairs, has the 3/4 bath (walk-in shower but no tub), kitchenette, and dining/living room. This room has direct access to the outside deck in the spring, summer, and fall. The living room has WiFi and a 50 inch HD television with DirecTV.
Outside in the summer and fall enjoy the gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.
Parking is available for one car directly outside of the apartment. Additional overnight parking for guests is at the Minturn Municipal parking lot, a short walk from the apartment.
Please note a few things about the apartment: There is no stove in the kitchenette but there is a microwave, toaster, table top roasting oven, blender, and coffee maker. The two rooms are detached and you have to walk six feet outside (under a roof) to go between. The bathroom is not in the bedroom. The apartment does not have a washer or dryer.

I was initially skeptical because the price seemed too good to be true, but it ended up exceeded all my expectations. I will only be staying here anytime I come back to Vail. Thank you!

Great place, great town
We are so glad we discovered this wonderful place above the winery. It was very comfortable (and unique) and met all our needs. We are very happy with our choice to stay in Minturn versus one of the ski villages and will stay there on all future trips.
This was a great unique place to stay. We needed three beds and some room to pack and prepare for a backpacking trip. The beds were large and comfortable and in a separate room than the rest of the place with plenty of room to spread out. The other area was large, had a large lounging spot, large table to spread our equipment out on, a small "kitchen" area with small fridge, and a reasonable bathroom. Check-in was easy and had some communication during the stay which was easy. We loved the place and it was a perfect match for the town of Minturn!

We are so happy to hear that you loved it! The layout is pretty fantastic! We hope to have you back.
Sweet spot right downtown Minturn quick to either Vail or Beaver creek. The space is a little different as its setup has the bedroom separated from the rest of the living, bath and kitchen space by a breezeway but worked out great and had way more room than any other rental!
A most memorable rental that offers comfort, convenience and character. Fabulous HQ for ski trips and summer getaways.
Hope to be back.
For the owner/manager:
-faint scent of gas in the “dining” quarters.
-glassware in desperate need of cleaning
-mystery visitor from the wild given paw prints in snow on deck!
Loved our stay at the Minturn Haus. Beds were very comfortable and the spaciousness and ceiling height made us feel at home. Very large dining room table but small kitchen. We elected to eat out with so many food options through the area. The wine theme of the apartment resonated with us but sure wish the wine bar downstairs was still in business. Everything was exactly as described and we would stay here again with pleasure. Thanks!

Charming Environment, Easy to access and close to Vail.
My wife and I loved the decor and ambiance of the place. It was quick and easy to access Vail.
Only downside was that the bathroom was not in the bedroom and you had to go outside and then back inside the other room.
The other room was literally about one yard away and roof covered in between rooms, but it was not the best for staying sleepy if one had to use the restroom at night. You have open the door, (we locked it, go out in the cold for a brief moment open the other door and then you were literally there) My wife likes to lock doors so it caused a bit of noise for the other. Besides that it was a good experience. The value was good too, but I don't think we would stay again as it was inconvenient regarding the bathroom. It is clearly stated on the description, but I seemed to have missed it when reading.

Thank you for the feedback on the apartment and the arrangement of the two rooms.
Nice well decorated apt in good location with very comfortable beds. The separation of the living area and sleeping area is a little strange but manageable. Nighttime visits to the bathroom might require a flash light to see the door keypad. Location is very good and
within walking distance of almost all Minturn shops/restaurants. Parking was a little difficult as customers of the restaurant across the street tended to take your parking spot.
What a special place this is! Beautiful decor. Walking distance to restaurants and shops in a charming town and less than 20 min drive to two world class ski resorts. A true find! We will definitely stay again!
Quaint, cozy but spacious place. Great private outdoor deck with afternoon sun. Comfortable beds, well equipped and a great large dining table. We loved it!
Great property away from the busy Vail Village, we had a wonderful time enjoying the small town of Minturn and the snow mobile rides (Nova) were lots of fun! Beautiful Winter Wonderland.
Beautiful property and location between Vail and Beaver Creek. Great communication from owner before and while on site. Comfy sleeping room and spacious living/ding room, along with perfect kitchen and bath for our needs. Loved the heated fireplaces and amenities. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
Very unique place, welcoming, spacious, charming. Convenient to ski in Vail without hype

About the host
Hosted by Morgen McLaughlin
I currently reside in the Willamette Valley, Oregon where I work in the wine business. My family spent many winters exploring the Back Bowls of Vail and my children love skiing the Minturn Mile. We are excited to share our place and love for Minturn with fellow travelers.
Why they chose this property
This historic property built in 1902 is perfect for travelers looking for an unique property (who wouldn't want to stay in an old winery building?) that is affordable, with very convenient access to Vail and Beaver Creek. If you love authentic, low-key non-resort towns, you will love Minturn. If you are looking for ritzy and expensive head to Vail or Beaver Creek. My mother decorated the apartment and she loves antiques and French decor. The dining room table belonged to my grandmother.
What makes this property unique
The upstairs apartment is close to Vail and Beaver Creek with a perfect downtown location in Minturn, a charming mountain town without the pretense and hassle of the neighboring resort towns. Free parking and next door to restaurants, shops, and outdoor recreation.
