This home is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your beach vacation. The patio is equipped with seating for evenings spent watching the ocean and enjoying a perfect Pacific Ocean sunset.
Special Amenities Our home includes smart tv's, WiFi, BBQ, patio dining, outdoor firepit, washer & dryer, linens, beach/bath towels, toiletries, and cooking and dining utensils.
The Space This 1400 square foot, ground-floor condominium has a comfortable living/dining area adjoining a large open chef's kitchen. Primary bedroom has king bed with luxury linens and private full bathroom. Second bedroom is en-suite and has queen bed with luxury linens. Living room has a couch with foldout queen bed. Living room and primary bedroom open to oceanfront patio. There is an additional half bath.
The Property The property is separated from the beach by a narrow, one-way, 10 mph lane affectionately known as “The Strand,” perfect for walking, skating, cycling, and cruising! The road is protected by a rock seawall which reveals a quaint sandy beach at low tide. At high tide, a broader sandy beach is just a short walk away. Parking is in a secure, gated underground parking lot with two reserved parking spaces.
*Pet Friendly - ~Pets allowed. There will be an additional charge of $250 pet fee per stay plus taxes charged after booking.
Guest Access Guests must present picture identification upon arrival. Home is secured with electronic lock. Check in is at 4 pm; check out is 10am.
Vacation Rental Contract You are booking with Casago North County San Diego, a professional local property management company. We require guests to complete our own “Vacation Rental Agreement,” after they've made their booking. We do this to ensure quality and consistency for our guests and our homeowners.
Guest Ranger Guests are required to complete Guest Ranger, an identity verification service. The link is imbedded in our contract which you will receive after you have completed your booking.
Directions Home is accessed via a one-way frontage road: Take First Street west, then turn left on South The Strand. The two-story, sixteen-unit structure has a parking lot gate in the middle of the building. Your access code will be emailed to you prior to your arrival. There is additional street parking east of the building on South Pacific Street.

The location is nice with ocean views. There was a road right outside the door. Many restaurants etc within walking distance. Great communication with staff. They were so responsive. The cleaning staff left a bunch of laundry in the laundry room which seemed odd. Also the curtains were very dirty on the bottom. Maybe the tide was high at some point. I would stay here again especially if curtains were replaced or blinds installed.

Great experience, however I wish I would have done a little more research regarding the area and the amount of traffic/people on "The Strand"
The pull-out sofa was also broken and my guest was unable to sleep on it. I had to go purchase an air mattress for her to sleep on which was miserable.

This condo right on the strand was a great home for our recent getaway. There were a total of 4 adults and two babies, and it was plenty spacious. The home was clean, and well maintained. The outdoor patio is a decent size and it's great place to enjoy a drink or meal. The table has a built in fire pit so we enjoyed hanging out listening to the waves at night around the fire. The patio gate opens up right onto the strand. There's definitely a lot of cars driving by as well as foot traffic but it doesn't feel too open and it didn't feel like it lacked privacy. On the other side of the road is the ocean and it was amazing seeing and hearing the waves from inside the house. Covered parking spots for two cars was a big plus. And the fact the parking spots were right in front of the unit was also a bonus. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
The condo was fantastic.
Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds and soft towels. Each bathroom had a kit with soaps, shampoo, etc. The kitchen had a kit with a new sponge, dish soap and pods for the dishwasher and clothes washer. It was also fully equipped with dishes, utensils, and baking equipment. Casago also provided recyclable baking pans for our Thanksgiving dinner and tin foil for leftovers. They even left a delicious apple pie in the fridge as a gift.
We loved opening the wall of doors to the patio during the day and sitting at the fire table at night. The thermostat was easy to use and Casago posted a QR code next to it with all needed instructions.
The condo was a perfect size for six adults. We appreciated the full size dining table and huge sectional sofa that accommodated all of us comfortably.
We also appreciated that Casago checked in every day and made sure we had their 24 hour emergency phone number. We didn't need to use it but I was glad it was there.
It was a wonderful four days and we're already starting to plan for next year.
