Tulum Family getaway
We were a little shocked when we arrived, a bit tricky to find but the property manager talked us through how to get there. Area surrounding seemed sketchy at first, shanty next door and empty lots with lots of garbage and abandoned cars. Place was extremely hot when we entered but once we got the AC going in the bedroom they were always cool for sleeping. The place is very spacious and open but could use a little refresh. Beds were comfortable. Pool was cool when you first got in baby took time to adjust but we were grateful for how refreshing it was and we used it a lot. There was no umbrella in back as pictured or cushions on the upper deck area. Umbrella wasn’t needed as there was always some shade. One of the deck boards broke but luckily no one was hurt (minor scrape) and the property manager fixed it quickly. We were a little shocked by large cockroaches but discovered as long as you kept lights on in evening they didn’t come in. Reco is to keep garbage emptied frequently and any opened packages of food in fridge and butter or you get any infestation…normal stuff in warm climate and we learned quickly after having to throw a few things out. We ended up enjoying the area as there were several great restaurants nearby and the main strip wasn’t far away. People are very friendly and we never felt unsafe. Did a paid resort day which was nice but we all agreed it was great with the baby to have our own place. Scooter, atv rentals around the corner.
