About Karen Candage
Hello, my name is Karen and I was lucky enough to have been born on this most Beautiful Island called Mt. Desert Island off the coast of Maine. I got married and had a family. I have one son and 3 grandchildren. My son is a lobster men and my 3 grand children are also. 2 boys and a girl. It is a very hard job to do! Acadia National Pk. is located on the Island and it is simply breath taking. The entrance to the Pk. is just 1 1/2 miles from your cottage. So many things to do and see.
Karen Candage purchased this Cottage in 1972

We loved this place it was home away from home. Very well stocked kitchen and just cozy and comfortablw.
Oh thank you Melanie! That’s so good to hear. I’m so glad you enjoyed my place and you guys were great! I hope to see you all again sometime. And thanks for taking such good care of my cottage.👍
We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Hi Jim, I’m so happy you enjoyed your stay at my cottage. You guys were great. Thank you for taking such good care of the place. Thanks for coming. Come back soon.
Karen's cottage is well stocked, clean and neat. We and our dogs always enjoy our stay and really never want to leave! The ample supply of kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and other accessories make eating in just like at home :-)
Hey Karen, I’m so happy that you love my cottage. Thanks so much for writing me a review. The reviews really help people make up their minds. It helps to know what is good and what isn’t good so nobody is surprised. I hope to see you again next year! Take care!
The cottage was clean, well stocked with utensils, and updated with modern appliances. The neighborhood was a quiet wooded area easy walking distance to an isolated shoreline. To access the rocky shoreline you have to scale a rock ledge which could be a challenge for those with limited mobility. That being said, it was the perfect environment for our dogs to run and play in the ocean. This property is an excellent retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby Arcadia and Bar Harbor .
Thank you so much for your review. I’m so happy you and your dogs enjoyed your stay at my cottage. It is a great location away from the hustle and bussel from town but only a few minutes away. Maybe I’ll see you again.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, private and peaceful. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The location was ideal with close access to the park and the village of Bar Harbor. Our dog loved it too. This was our third year in a row coming to Acadia and it was our favorite stay yet. Thank you Karen.
Thank you so much for the review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at my cottage. I hope you come back again sometime. And thank you for keeping my cottage so clean.
Great place, great location
This was so much better than a hotel/motel. Very cozy with all the basic needs and more. Great location between Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. Was great to be able to relax.
Thanks so much Melissa for the great review. I’m very happy you enjoyed my cottage. I try to make it feel like home. The reviews really help people decide where they want to go. I look forward to seeing you again in the future. Karen
