About the host
Hosted by Polly Corbin Mittag

Our family visited Gramma Margrethe and Grampa Jim Corbin each summer as our 3 boys were growing up. When I was a child in the 1950s my siblings and I also visited our Grandparents who lived in Charlevoix just up the street from Olson's market.
My husband and I have enjoyed redecorating Corbin Manor in a casual,
welcoming style, giving Corbin Manor a bed and breakfast flair. Guests invariably comment on their enjoyment of the large Charlevoix-style front porch...yes, one is able to peek at the Lake between the condos.
My husband is a retired teacher of German and I am retired from early childhood teaching.

Why they chose this property
Corbin Manor was the home of my parents, Margrethe and Jim Corbin. Our grandchildren are fifth generation of our family to explore and enjoy Charlevoix.
What makes this property unique
Perfect location within Charlevoix with a short walk to downtown, the marina, Lake Michigan, and beaches.
Just down the hill 2 blocks is the Bridge with boats coming and going from Round Lake Harbor; watching the bridge go up and down is a trademark of Charlevoix.
When in Charlevoix I enjoy walking the beach while looking for Petoskey Stones. Our favorite stroll is to the 'foot of Dixon', a two block walk, to watch the Sunset.
On cooler days the beach at Depot Beach, 7 blocks away, offers protection from off-shore winds and the warmer water of Lake Charlevoix.
Finding bargains at the Rainbow Shoppe is a classic Charlevoix experience.
