This cabin has the best view of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline, inside and outside. This delightfully open cabin with two bedrooms and a perfect view of Porter Beach and Lake Michigan is nestled in the Indiana Dunes and just 53 steps away from magnificent Lake Michigan. The only thing between you and the lake is 53 stairs and a lovely sand beach. There is sleeping for 4 currently but the couch can be used to sleep 2 more people, all 3 beds are queen size. Ample seating in the living area includes dining room chairs and living room sofa with spinning chairs. The dining room table can be expanded to meet 9 persons dining needs or the leaves can be easily hidden away for a more intimate dining experience. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, Kuerig cup coffee maker, and Central Air (Furnace/Air Conditioning). All linens (bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes and dish towels, bedding) are provided. There is a full wrap around deck with chairs and a Weber propane gas grill. The beach is a public beach, about a half mile from the main Dunes State Park Beach, we have beach toys for children of all ages, footballs, spike ball, soccer balls and other beach games. This is the top level of a 2 story cabin with 2 parking spaces, there are no people staying in the basement of the property, it is unfinished. Should you want to venture beyond the beach numerous nearby attractions include Chesterton European Market (Saturdays), hiking, biking, dining, breweries, shopping, museums, art galleries, an arboretum, golfing, waterpark, farmers markets, live theatre, movie theatres, skating, bowling and much more.

One of the best stay we ever had. Amazing view of Michigan Lake and Chicago Skyline. Place was very clean and well maintained, easy parking and host is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again in Summer.

Amazing! My family, my pet, and I had a wonderful weekend… Everything was 10/10. We hope to return in the summer so we can enjoy the beach.

Great place overall. The view is fantastic. Will, the owner was excellent to deal with. The cottage was really nice and had everything you could ask for in a rental. Great location.

I don’t know what to say other than it’s a great property! Excellent view of the beach and lake. We walked on the beach all the days even tho it’s December. Everything you need is supplied. It’s clean and fully functional. Our family, including our pups, really enjoyed it there! Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at the cabin on the lake! Really great location. Close to the National Park. Great views of the lake and lake access is super convenient with the steps down directly next to the property. Ours dogs also enjoyed the beach and laying on the deck! We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay began with the idea of creating an entire year of great B-Day weekends, as per this is the year of our Fifties, we extend to enjoy lake life several time this year. To see our friends gather together some of over thirty years was my happiest moment. The very stocked cabin kitchen took second for me as per great food always tends to steal the show. Looking forward towards our next visit during warmer weather Im anxious to enjoy some beach life. Our host greeted us casually and even brought his snow blower to lesson our burdens, thank you so much for having us, hope to return soon. Ryan K

Very nice cottage. Parking right outside. Great view of the water, despite a row of cottages diwn the hill. You could hear the water at night. Has a 360 degree wrap around deck. Bed was comfy. There were lots of extras....i think they thought of everything. It was a quick drive to the parks and restaurants. I locked myself out, and the host was quick to help me. It was clean. I loved the bathroom mirror....now i want one. Just one suggestion: My husband is quite tall. The living room chairs are small. He looked really uncomfortable, but he just didn't want to hog the couch for 2 days. I felt bad for him. Lol The couch was long, though, so he got a nap.

Will and Liz were very welcoming and communicative. We didn't have any issues or serious questions during our stay. The view is the star of this property, but the home was also comfortable and clean with everything we could have needed.
