Me and my friends had a great time staying here. It’s in a really good location near high street and other restaurants in the area. The apartment was clean and Eric was helpful when it came to communication.
Perfect 1 bedroom apartment to stay for overnight stays close to downtown Columbus. Stayed here for a weekend volleyball tournament for my son at the Convention Center. Host was very gracious and helpful.
We stayed one night and it met all of our needs. It’s an old Victorian house so it has some quirks but the apartment was clean and nicely furnished. Eric was having issues with the VRBO app but he always answered his phone or text messages when we needed him. We would stay again!
Eric called me 2 hours before check in to tell me apartment was not available! I tried to communicate with him over 24 hours in advance through VRBO, text and call and no response! Horrible experience I would not trust this guy! Don’t risk it! I would hate to see it happen to someone else as well. I am trying to get a refund but nothing as of now! DON’T DO IT!
Perfect location for anyone looking to go to conventions at the Greater Columbus convention center as it is not too far of a walk from there. There are many resturants and bars around the location with a grocery store down the road all within walking distance for any necessites needed. Eric is also a very knowledgeable and patient host and will answer any questions and concerns you have about the location. I highly recommend this location to anyone traveling from out of town and looking for a nice area to check out. Lots of restaurants, scenic neighborhood, and a wonderful host is more than anyone can ask for. If I travel through Columbus again, I will be looking into renting the same place from Eric as he is a wonderful host.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Not very good
When we got to the apartment All of the bedding needed to be cleaned There was hair all over the took me an hour to clean the place before we could settle in and it took from 9 o'clock till midnight to clean all the bedding before we can go to sleep. The washing machine was extremely loud. Not a good experience would not stay there again
No communication was sent over for check in at 5pm. Upon booking I mentioned that I was there for medical appointment. Sent a message regarding checking in for further instructions as I got in the area. 5pm no response so I sent another message through the app and waited a few more mins. I’m outside the location waiting. No response again so I sent a text followed by a phone call which went directly to voicemail. I messaged again 45 mins after 5 and now I’m at the point where I may need to look elsewhere for the night. Finally got a phone call which instead of giving me any instructions just led to excuses while I remained waiting outside. Owner did not know the pin into the building. Mailman walked up and let me in! After a few more mins of me still needing the pin to unlock the room the owner then gave me the pin for the incorrect room and even booked me in the wrong room. Fine whatever I’m tired and I’m unable to stand for long periods. Finally got into the apt (which smelled HEAVILY like Gain detergent); I hear a roaring sound of a jet engine that was actually a washer going off in the location I’m staying in. Owner asks me to take the clothes from the washer and put in the dryer when it’s done or someone can come by in an hour to do it. The place felt like a frat house from the 80s. Bed felt like a teenager’s Walmart purchase. Bonus hairs in shower with broken floor tile. Not worth 145 bucks. Owner gave empty apology while asking to laundry. Do NOT book here!
Host didn’t bother to turn off battery alarm! Went the entire time! Simply replacing it would have been much appreciated! Eric was a bit impatient with me, not appreciated! Unit needs work, used blue paint tape to seal air leak, ice trays would be nice!
No check in information was given prior to my arrival. The host would not answer the phone or through the app, and I waited outside the property for more than an hour before I was finally notified by the host that the booking had been canceled without my knowledge. Apparently the property is not allowed to book short term rentals right now and the host said they asked VRBO to cancel the booking, but I was not told anything. Additionally, when the host said they would refund me, the amount they listed was less than what I actually paid, so apparently there’s extra charges that VRBO incurred just for the booking. At least tell guests that the booking is canceled so they don’t get stranded with nowhere to stay, and have customer service representatives available with low wait times so they can assist these kinds of situations.
Due to the circumstances of damage being done to the property from a different party. The event supposedly happened on a Sunday but the host didn't notify us until Tuesday. The day before we were supposed to stay there. Yet the posting was still up even after we cancelled. To their credit they did give us a full refund and also VRBO was amazing with helping us get our refund and they are willing to pay for half of our cost for the experience.
The property is in a wonderful neighborhood and very close to OSU. Spent weekend with my daughter for a college visit. Property was perfect with two beds in separate rooms and fully functional kitchen. Hosts respond immediately to any questions. Thank you!!
Great location in Short North. Close to everything. Very good accommodations for one night stay with 3 adults. Would consideration staying there again when in the Columbus area.
Travelled to Columbus with soon who is planning on moving here. Was a check it out and see visit. The stay was awesome. Walkable to towns Main Street. He loves all of it. Amazing city. Place was clean , easy to park Had its old charm. Very helpful and easy to communicate to. Would recommend when in Columbia
Overall this was a great place to stay. We could walk to OSU, downtown, and short north easily. We found free parking just a couple blocks away (use the Columbus parking info site and it makes it easier). The host had good communication and the place was exactly as described. It's a fairly quiet neighborhood, and although the kitchen is pretty tiny, the bathroom and living room areas had ample space for our group. We'd definitely consider staying again.
The night before arriving I had to text the host asking him to send check in instructions as we hadn’t received any. We had booked apt A and was contacted by the host stating that we would actually be in apt C. We were told it was just an error on Vrbo’s part. The host also told me that I had to send a photo of my ID via text before he would send me a code to the apt. He also wanted the full name and age of each guest and stated that they would know if any additional people visited the property and we would be charged a fee.
As soon as we open the door to the building there is a large gap in the floor leading to a crawl space. Once we get into the apt there is an exposed breaker box directly above the bed, with no cover, wiring on fridge exposed, dirty kitchen area, hairs in the shower, a hole in the shower drain, broken tiles on the floor, outside door glued shut, and a lawnmower in the hallway. In addition, the unit codes are the same as the code on the outside door, so anyone in the other units can get into yours. We were not there for more than 5 minutes and felt we were not safe. We ended up leaving immediately and driving 3 hours back home.
We were in Columbus for a volleyball tournament and the location was close to the Convention Center and there were so many places to eat. The accommodations were great for my friend and i. There were utensils for cooking and a coffeemaker, so we had breakfast every morning. Beds were comfortable. Awesome neighborhood! I'd stay here again should we come back to Columbus.
Location was great. Easy walk to restaurants/bars. Would be nice to be able to cast to the tv from a smartphone. The screen mirroring on the tv didn’t work for us.
