Perfect for young families
Everything meet our expectations and was as pictured. Be prepared to connect to wifi and utilize wifi calling for any phone calls because there is basically no cell service. Write down the Wi-Fi password before you get there because it is very difficult to get enough reception to load the VRBO app at the house. Also if it's cold enough outside, be prepared to use the fireplace to warm the half of the house that's without central heat (radiant heaters only and it stays a bit chilly on that half). During our stay there wasn't any fire starters provided, however, so you might want to bring/buy some. Overall nice place and the kids loved the game room.

Hi!

My name is Michael. I grew up in Salt Lake all my life. Have been going up to the Uinta's since forever. I am a huge outdoors guys! I love camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, hunting, mountain biking, overlanding, and old-school choppers.

My wife and I just had our first baby, a baby girl. I wont lie, the journey has been very difficult so far. But I love it, and would not trade this experience for anything else!

What I like most about hosting is creating a clean comfortable space that my guest can experience and enjoy. Knowing that they have had a wonderful experience after their stay brings a smile to my face and motivates me to give the same experience to any other future guests!

Why they chose this property

Nestled between 2 mountains, off the busy highway on a less busy road. Farmhouse surrounded by other farmhouses. Each property is on at least 1+ acres for privacy. Overgrown trees, creeks, and springs surround fields where neighbors either have animals or are growing crop. Neighborhood turkey, deer, elk, moose, and owl roam the neighborhood throughout the year. 1/4 mile away from Peoa main where an art gallery and Peoa cemetery is located.

What makes this property unique

Peoa, UT formally known as Peoha, UT means "love or to marry". This small agricultural town was founded in 1857 by William W. Phelps, a fur trader and scribe to Joseph Smith. In 1860 Brigham Young decided to colonize Peoa and surrounding areas. Settlers were sent from Salt Lake City to settle the area. One of the families among all the settlers were the Walkers, they use to own the Airbnb property.

The Ute Indians lived in the area and were peaceful people, however the Snake Indians from Idaho were know as "raiders" told from the Ute's. In 1861 Fort Creek was built to protect against raiders. However in 1866 the Black Hawk War erupted due to the depletion of resources from influx of settlers and that was when Sage Bottom Fort was built.

There use to be Beaver and Fox Ranches mixed in with various agricultural farms. Now Peoa mainly grows Alfalfa as agriculture and has beef cattle ranches. Some old buildings that still stand today is the old convenient store which is the art gallery now, old public building, and Peoa cemetery.
