The property is clean and updated. Very comfortable and right near the bus stop. When I say right near, you could almost wait until you hear the bus to walk out. If your over 6' tall, watch out for the beam in the dining room. Otherwise, nice, quiet, and great for a getaway.
We stayed at this condo in Vail for my son’s baseball tournament (TCS Vail Valley World Series). The unit was clean, well-located near town and stores, and had a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious closet, and a comfortable living room with a pull-out couch. The bathroom was clean with a good-sized shower, and lighting was adequate despite limited natural light due to the basement setting. A few layout quirks included a low ceiling joist between the living and dining area, and a bed with only one accessible side, making it awkward for two adults. Because it's a basement unit, we also experienced frequent stomping noises from above.Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to serious privacy and safety concerns. Upon check-in, a man identifying himself as a friend of the owner asked to retrieve golf clubs from a storage closet inside the unit. We allowed it, assuming it was a one-time request. The next day, we returned to find the front door ajar and the same man inside—again accessing the unit without notice, consent, or our knowledge. This unannounced entry, coupled with the door being left open, made us feel unsafe and that our privacy had been violated. We felt uncomfortable continuing our stay and chose to leave. We received partial refunds from both VRBO and the owner but believe more is owed, as we were charged fees for a stay we had to end through no fault of our own. The situation unfortunately overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay.

Response from VrboOwner on 31 July 2025
Regrettably, we have to respond to this unjust review. My husband greeted these guests upon move in and identified hims as the owner and that we live upstairs. He then asked to grab his golf clubs from inside the unit before they moved in. He and Joseph then talked for about 15 minutes and he answered Joseph's questions about restaurants and travel distances. When he found out that their son was playing baseball, he offered the use of our washer and drier in our upstairs unit so they would not have to go to the laundry mat to wash their sons uniform. The next day while Joseph and his family were out, our dishwasher upstairs had a major leak. My husband went downstairs into the unit to make sure that none of the water was leaking into the lower unit and to retrieve some tools to repair the dishwasher. Joseph and his wife came back while my husband was retrieving the tools and he told them about the emergency and why he was in the unit. While my husband was fixing the dishwasher, Joseph's wife came upstairs and asked to speak to me and requested that they be allowed to cancel their reservation. I then spent the next 25 minutes WITH Joseph on the phone with VRBO to cancel. He was happy with the resolve. VRBO said they would not refund them for current day so sent him an extra $124 thru Venmo. Joseph said he was happy with the resolution. We chose not to review them to be kind.We have over 450 five star reviews on AirBnB and have never experienced any issues with other guests. Life is too short to spend more time on this...it was too silly.
