About this property

Renovated former church! Round up your friends or family for a fun filled stay!

HLC was formerly a beautiful stone church built in 1931 with an addition added on in 1984.  The entire building has almost been completely renovated from top to bottom! New roof, all new flooring throughout, new windows in all four bedrooms, two spacious bathrooms, etc! HLC is very spacious at 4,526 sq. ft.!  The dining area has stained glass windows, ceiling fans and hard wood floors and is 29’x32′ and can comfortably seat up to 40 people.  The adjoining room also has stained glass windows, ceiling fans, hard wood floors, a raised dais and cathedral ceilings and can seat an additional 40+ people. Make all your favorite meals in the commercial kitchen (19’x11′) with 8 burner range, double oven & all your basic mini appliances and essential kitchen tools.

HLC sleeps 15 (4 bedrooms: RED Room sleeps 3; BLUE Room sleeps 7; YELLOW Room sleeps 2; & LIGHT BLUE Room sleeps 3). All bedrooms come fully furnished with bedding/linens provided. Get a good night sleep with blackout curtains in all four bedrooms.

There are 2 large bathrooms (1 is handicap accessible) with amazing walk in showers! All towels & toiletries are provided.

A large dining hall & large “retreat room” are available for relaxing with your friends and family! Sit quietly and watch a movie on our 86" LG LED 4K Smart Tv or perhaps you’re in the mood for a little karaoke and dancing! There’s plenty of room for both!

Make your favorite cocktail at our custom bar or wake up to a delicious cup of hot Java available for you to brew at the custom coffee bar!

Free wifi. Nautical theme throughout! Just 1 mile away from the beautiful Hubbard Lake, which is the 13th largest inland lake in Michigan! Several golf courses near by, shopping and dining in Alpena and enjoy local bars in the town of Hubbard Lake!

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
There currently is NOT a dishwasher. Please wash & dry any used dishes, pots/pans, silverware, etc. Please put them away in their original place. Thank you.
There may not be trash removal during your stay. We will let you know at the time of booking.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
There is no eating or drinking allowed in the bedrooms. There is no jumping or rough housing allowed on the beds or furniture.
