The Flying Squirrel Retreat is a vacation rental property in the heart of the northwoods in Florence, WI, with direct access to the snowmobile/ATV trails! This property includes 9 wooded acres with a huge backyard with fire pit that people love. Holiday Stay

We origionally booked our one week stay with thoughts of spending the week snowmobiling and downhill skiing. Mother Nature did not cooperate and we were missing one key element. Snow! Ski Brule makes their own snow, so we were able to get a day in of skiing. We also explored local waterfalls, learned Iron Mountain has an awesome movie theatre, and Barb's Diner has the best cinnamon rolls! We had a great time hanging out and playing cards. The owner, Adam, was extremely helpful answering questions and making suggestions. The house is exactly as the pictures show--- clean and well-kept. A nice piece of property to walk our dogs around. Although the backyard is fenced in-- GREAT space for a larger dog to safely explore, heed the warning left on the board in the house about keeping an eye on your pets-- our little dog (10 lbs) was able to squeeze through a small space and get out. Luckily we noticed immediately and were able to retrieve her. Great place to stay. Once we get snow we will try and reserve the house to get some snowmibiling in.
