Cancelled 2 hours before check-in :(

We never actually got to see the property due to us being cancelled on 2 hours before checking in. This left is scrambling and looking for another place last min - which in Rome, is extremely difficult and we were forced to pay very high nightly rates at the few available rooms. I understand things happen, however all we were told was “Reservation cancelled” and no further explanations or response. We were at the train station with all of our bags and to have no conversation or apology was VERY frustrating and dissatisfying. The place looked beautiful online but I didn’t appreciate the last min cancellation.

Vom Gastgeber nach Anreise storniert

Wir standen bereits vor der gebuchten Wohnung und haben die Gastgeberin telefonisch und per App um die Zugangsinformationen gebeten, da erhielten wir die Nachricht über die Buchungsapp, dass die Buchung vom Gastgeber storniert wurde. Grund der Stornierung: Gast möchte die Buchung stornieren. Die Gastgeberin war daraufhin telefonisch nicht mehr zu erreichen und antwortete auch nicht mehr auf Nachrichten. So standen wir um 18.30 Uhr in Rom ohne Wohnung. Ein Anruf bei Fewo brachte nicht wirklich eine Lösung. Ganz abgesehen davon, dass sich nicht mal jemand bei uns entschuldigt hat, wurde uns ein Ersatz für 2 Nächte angeboten. Als ich anmerkte, dass wir für 5 Nächte gebucht hätten, hieß es, es würde sich dann schon noch was finden. Außerdem sei doch alles kein Problem, ich bekäme ja das Geld für die stornierte Wohnung erstattet. Ich rate dringend davon ab, diese Wohnung zu buchen, denn selbst wenn es sich um eine Doppelbuchung gehandelt hat, hätten sowohl Gastgeber, als auch Fewo sich deutlich besser darum bemühen müssen eine geeignete Ersatzunterkunft für uns zu finden. Wir haben letztendlich über eine andere Buchungsplatform eine Ersatzunterkunft gefunden. 6 Tage später hat sich dann auch Fewo per Mail bei mir gemeldet.
