Weekend getaway

Great cabin, very cozy, private, great outdoor areas to enjoy, some sheltered. Nice meandering stream right up next to cabin. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Great cabin.

Loved the cabin. Well appointed. If I had to critique, I would say it needs better and stronger lighting inside. Mainly in the living area. But really fun experience and beautiful surroundings

The cabin was lovely, beautiful grounds with a path that leads out to a quaint bridge over the creek. The inside is cozy with plenty of seating. we did not care for the seating on the porch as it is very low and hard to get out of if you are a senior. The only complaint is the master bedroom mattress is very uncomfortable, could use a new one. Otherwise we had a lovely time.

Unacceptable

When we arrived there was a loud noise right at the front porch entry. Turns out is was some kind of motor or pump under the cabin. This was not disclosed to us during the rental process and the cause unable to be determined before we left the property. Needless to say it certainly made our stay at this lovely property less than desirable since the noise was 24/7. Hopefully the problem has been corrected for future renters.

Thanks Pete for sharing. We typically do not disclose basic maintenance features of the home especially Radon fan motors or sump pumps. The former is simply a small fan motor not much different than a small fan motor in a ceiling light heater assembly. Sump pumps only come on when needed when water levels reach a certain point. Our apologies that this was enough to have this effect on your stay. Its really rare to receive any reports that either of these are such a noise nuisance . Again our apologies. Take care and safe travels.

Great house, lot and setting! Easy access to trails and town. The outdoor spaces, patios, porches allow for a group to spread out and have quiet time or gather at fire and outdoor kitchen. Hope we can come back soon. Thank You!
