We enjoyed our stay. Beautifully decorated and uniquely furnished. Close to downtown with good places to eat all around. Tour of Paris walking trail and sports complex nearby. We will be back! 10/10 rating for us!
We loved our stay in the Bungalow. I would highly recommend this house to everyone. It is exactly as described, in a great location and decorated so cute! Owners responded quickly to all questions. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in town.
Check in was super easy, and tons of amenities. I've stayed in a few VRBO's before in Paris, but this has been the best so far. The decor really stands out and I really appreciated the small details, like updated thermostat and electronics.
I have stayed at this VRBO 3 or 4 times when visiting family. It has a lot of high tech features, and the decor is nice. There's really no door to the bedroom, but that's OK when it's just me and my husband. The only issue I've had was the battery died in the TV remote. When notified, the owner called promptly and told me where to find the spares.
I've stayed at a few VRBO's, but this one takes the cake. The location is close to the main roads though the area gets a little rough deeper towards downtown. I really appreciated the hosts for putting up a beautiful Christmas tree. I love the hosts attention to detail
The place was amazing, really “swanky” to quote the owners. The place has a very HOLLYWOOD, or Beverly Hills feel to the house. I wasn’t able to enjoy the back sitting area. As we arrived late for what was supposed to be a small break from taking care of dad. Instead we had tire blow outs….. but that had nothing to do with the house. The owner was fast to reach out. I will say the area was busy with the loud noises of cars. It was/is in town. And with any small southern town there’s loud exhaust and thumping systems coming by till about 10:00 o clock. Then the town quiets down and you can enjoy the most comfortable and spacious king size bed; the a/c isn’t locked and there’s a fan so you can knock the heat of the day down fast. Awake to a great shower in a shower big enough for 3 lol, don’t worry it was only me. The bide is a nice touch as well, I didn’t use it do to not knowing how, and that’s not the kind of thing a man plays with haha. The coffee was tasty, although I will say for the price a bag of popcorn, or a small chocolate would have made the stay the extra touch inviting. Overall a outstanding spot to wine/dine a lady, or just relax in a quaint town outside the Dallas metroplex.
The "swanky bungalow" is exactly that! The pictures are very good in conveying the character of the property. It is evident that the owners had a lot of fun with outfitting the place - there is a sense of fun! Overall, we were very comfortable. The bath especially is well appointed with a Toto washlet toilet, very cool rock sink, and a great shower: walk-in with lots of hot water, great pressure, rock floor (non slippery!) and a teak bench. My DH approved :) Everything was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I would note that the faucet handles in the kitchen and bath are non ADA, although they were easy enough to grip and were not an issue for us. Access to the unit is excellent. Parking is excellent. The unit is across the street from an old graveyard, and the neighborhood is not new, but neither were an issue for us; we did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable.I would love to have had some lamps to soften the lighting, with the dark walls, and some solar tube skylights would go a long way towards adding more natural light to the unit. Note that there is no door to the bedroom; it is not quite a studio, but is more open to the living area than a one bedroom would be. There is no window in the bedroom and at night is *very* dark, with the black walls! I solved that with leaving the blinds in the kitchen open to give light. My DH enjoyed the TV in the living area. Overall, a lovely stay. Thank you!
