Avoid the ski-season traffic & stay on the slopes. Ride the magic carpet back & enjoy an Apres-ski beverage by the fireplace or on the back porch overlooking the resort.

Welcome to Slope-Side Escape. Three bed/3 bath condo in a prime, highly desired location. The two king suites with attached bathrooms make it perfect for family ski trips, friend gatherings, or romatic getaways.

Parking:
Keep in mind there is one designated, free parking space in front of the condo. There are two additional spaces in the parking lot that are first come, first serve. There are additional paid parking lots close by. Message me for additional free parkiing ideas.

Proximity to Slopes:
You're just steps away from the ski slopes, making it convenient to avoid (the awful) traffic during peak ski season or mountain events at Beech Mountain Ski Resort.

Walking distance to many of the popular Beech Mountain restaurants (see "nieghborhood description for details")

*Keep in mind AWD or 4WD will be needed during winter months to get up the mountain. Chains are sold at the base of the mountain in Banner Elk, if needed. Feel free to reach out with more specific questions.

The condo has spiral staircases to upper and lower levels so we suggest packing in duffles or smaller suitcases.

Condo is located alongside the bunny slope where the resort is building the new magic carpet ride. Exact dates of completion are not posted yet. Listing will be updated when details are confirmed by the resort. Prior to magic carpet being completed the condo is “ski-out” only and guests will need to be capable to walk up the bunny slope to condo prior to magic carpet being completed.

Winter season: lift tickets can be purchased online through Beech Mountain Ski Resort’s website and picked up at ticket booth located beside the main lodge.

Ski Rentals: renting from the ski resort is easiest but if you chose to get your skis elsewhere, we recommend you pick up the day before at any of these places (make reservations well in advance)

Summer months:

Downhill mountain biking just outside the back door. Bike down the bunny slope to base of Beech Mountain lifts.

Great place to stay

We loved the ski in ski out house. It was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Our only issue was plumbing in the upstairs bathroom and management was quick to respond and send a plumber. I could not be more pleased with the timely responses and communication from management during our stay. We would book this same place again but earlier in the year before the snow starts to melt. The run behind the house was closed so we didn’t get to experience the true ski in and out. However, we were only minutes from the ski resort so it was still very convenient.

Great Location and Great Host

We planned a last minute spring break trip, and the host couldn’t have been better about answering questions about the unit. This unit is located right on the slope with the “magic carpet”, which having 7 people who were learning to ski was a huge perk. The place was very clean and the kids had a blast playing the arcade machine. I will definitely check the availability of this unit for future trips to Beech Mountain.

Nice place to stay for ski activities and view for adults

Property is having 3 floors, as they said it’s a brand-new apartment. Pros: Brand New apartment, Very clean property, spacious, and everything is available a small family's needs. MANAGEMENT is really helpful and cooperative. The 2 bathrooms were spacious and properly clean. Our kids enjoyed the Bunker beds. So overall it's an excellent place to stay. The outside view of ski activities is awesome, unfortunately we did not visit for a ski so it was not useful for us this time. Maybe from Nov-Feb you can enjoy the view. Cons: The outside of the apartment looks a little scary, it could be better maintained. I will not advise this to the family if you have small kids. The 3 floors are connected by single-person spiral stairs. there is a risk of small kids falling while playing. Don't pack big suitcases for this apartment it's really problematic to carry that suitcase to different floors as you have to use a Spiral Staircase. Overall no complaints, we knew what we were signing for.

I fell in love with interior design & home flipping when we had the opportunity to be on HGTV's Love it or List it in 2019. Soon after we bought our first flip with the intention to make it a vacation rental. To our surprise it was wildly successful and sparked my passion to managing short term rentals. It's been a dream to watch dated, underperforming properties turn into beautiful vacation homes for our guests to enjoy. Recently we started taking on client properties and have developed our own property management company & I love it so much!

Why they chose this property

Beech Mountain is the perfect family getaway. When it's hot in Raleigh during the summer we escape to Beech for the cooler, crisp temperature & enjoy biking, hiking, and all the fun events at Beech Mountain Resort. In the winter we escape to Beech to hit the slopes or sled with the kids. We equally enjoy the beautiful leaves in the fall, one of my favorite times of the year. Beech has it all and it's no wonder so many people travel to Beech Mountain year round.

What makes this property unique

I love the easy access to the slopes. Beech Mountain traffic during peak ski season can be a nightmare. It's such a relief to leave the car parked and ski out from the property or walk to local restaurants & taverns. This is by far my favorite amenity. I also love the bunk room so the kids and their friends can have a sleepover in the same room.
