About this property

"Kingfisher" cottage offers a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, stunning mountain views and 100% privacy.

The cottage is 60m2 and has a fully equipped kitchen (no oven), dining & lounge area, air conditioned bedroom with extra-length king size bed (twin bed set-up upon request), bathroom with double wash basins and large walk-in shower.

The deck is 30m2 and has a covered outside dining area, kettle BBQ and sun loungers.

Also; free & uncapped WiFi and covered parking space.

Bringing the kids? Our living room has a double-size sleeper couch, for 2 kids up to 12 years old. Kids using the sleeper couch are charged at 50% of adult rate.

We also have 1 baby travel cot available at the lodge; available upon request and at first come first serve basis. Kids 0-2 stay free of charge.

We are mainly a self-catering lodge, but provide breakfast, a snack platter or BBQ/braai packs that are delivered to your cottage. Meals need to be ordered at least 3 days before arrival please.
The same goes for transfers/activities, which are subject to availability.

Our self-catering cottages are not serviced daily, but after 4 nights in case of longer stays.
Guests are welcome to request clean towels for stays longer than 2 nights. Clean linen will be provided after 4 nights if requested.

We are a small owner-managed lodge with only 4 cottages. We are originally from Belgium, but have been permanently based in the area since 2014. We decided to bring a new vibe and approach to Kruger accommodation; fresh, modern, super clean, ultra-equipped and offering 100% privacy, even on your deck and in your pool. This sets us apart from any other safari accommodation in a 100km radius.

Why they chose this property

We decided to build our lodge close to the middle section of Kruger National Park, as this section is much more quiet than the south, while still offering the same animal densities (which cannot be said for the north part). Additionally; we decided that the mountain-side attractions had to be as easy to reach (Panorama Route, Blyde Canyon, Mariepskop). We are located right underneath the escarpment and as such our lodge offers stunning mountain views.
