Imagine not being able to see any neighbors and stargazing the unobstructed sky while sitting on the deck or in the cabin. There is no traffic whatsoever because the road to the cabin goes no where else! The 4 acre pond is suitable for fishing. Enjoy the firepit and new gas grill. Take a hike. Plan a day trip to Branson, MO. Watch nature's majesty as it manifests itself during all seasons. There are several nearby rivers for floating or canoeing. You can eat at one of your favorite fast food restaurants if you must! Cabool has a Subway, DQ and Sonic. There are McDonalds in nearby towns, both about 15 miles! Cabool also has a Mexican Restaurant, Asian Diner, a grocery store and restaurant that Mennonites operate and cook for (even their hamburger buns are homemade!) and an old fashioned Cafe. Bring your family or just yourself to revive, rejuvenate and refresh your spirit. This is a perfect location to 'get away from it all’,explore, get back to nature, for storytelling and story making. No TV but there is a DVD player for movie watching.

The cabin is set beautifully overlooking the lake. It feels private and secluded. The communication with the owner was quick and easy. Great location to pivot from.
The property was even more beautiful than expected! The host's were excellent and reponded quickly to our needs. We spent a lot of time on-site exploring the property, it did not disappoint!
This cabin was beautiful and wonderful place to spend our 7 year Anniversary ❤️ The bass were biting and the cicadas were singing 🎶 We were able to drive to Mammoth Spring which was only an hour away and able to see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis! As well as finding some pretty nice Antique stores!
Perfect place to relax and get back into nature! Plenty of fishing supplies, space for kids to play, lots of wildlife! A wodnerful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city lofe with schoolaged children. Will absolutely return!
The cabin was just the right size for a quiet stay in nature. The lake was pristine. Kayaks were available as well as fishing poles and tackle. The dock was in good shape and it was fun to sit on it at different times of the day and evening. A firepit was available with wood. The cabin itself was cozy with everything needed to cook with. My dog thoroughly enjoyed swimming and running through the woods. The perimeter of the property made great hiking. There is also a big open, flat, grassy area to play on--we used it to play fetch.
It was me and my bestie for a girls getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better location. If you truly want to unplug from the world this is the perfect place. The Host were informative and responsive. The place that sell was charm being and rustic. We're all ready talking about coming back next year.
The cabin and the property were amazing. It was exactly what was posted only thing i would say is be aware of a kinds steep(for the oler folks) walk down to the doc.also a soft spot for pappy to sit wouldnt be horrible but its stunning quiet beautiful and perfect we fully enjoyed it with our doggos i got to fish and caught 4 bass. The sky at night is amazing this is a must go kinda place it is now our Go to place! Thank you guys so much!!
Very nice cabin. Cute, clean. Our friends from the area came and we had a relaxing visit. Renters are amazing! Our son left something behind and they reached out to us and are mailing it! I can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience it has been!
This is the perfect place to unwind and just getaway. Getting up in the morning and sitting on the porch or dock drinking tea and enjoying nature was amazing! Kids had a blast fishing and catching frogs, the owners are amazing and very understanding always quick to help would highly recommend this place of you want to disconnect and be away for awhile. Also you can take the boat out to fish and they have life jackets and fishing poles incase you forget yours!
This place is beautiful. We had a blasted. Watching the sunset on the porch or at the fire pit was breathtaking. You have to go hiking or paddle around the lake. We are going back!
It doesn't get any better than this if you enjoy nature and fishing. The view from the cabin any time of day is phenomenal, but especially sunrise and sunset. The lake is great with mostly clear water and plenty of fish. We caught in the double digits every day we were there. The location is perfect whether you're planning to float one of the beautiful rivers nearby or even have business in Springfield. It's even close enough for a day trip to Branson. The hosts are incredible! Very attentive without being intrusive, and super nice!! We will definitely be spending more time here!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful, cozy cabin. It’s tucked away on a secluded property with a private lake, complete with fishing poles and a row boat, which made for such relaxing days on the water. The cabin is pet-friendly, and there was so much space for hiking and exploring, our dogs loved every minute of it! The views were stunning, and the host was fantastic with great communication and thoughtful accommodations throughout our stay. Truly one of the best trips we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to come back
This was the cabin of dreams for my best friend and I! It was the perfect weekend getaway! Sheila and David were super nice and helpful. We are already planning a trip in August!

Loved the peaceful stay. Gorgeous setting. No issues at all with our stay...wished that we could have stayed in the area longer to enjoy this property.
My husband, 12 year old foster daughter and our 2 dogs booked 4 nights and loved every day we spent. Such a great way to spend time away from everything. Our foster daughter caught her 1st, 2nd and 3rd fish, she was obsessed with fishing after that! We saw geese, a red fox, a snake, and lots of other wildlife. The dogs loved every moment and we got so many great pictures and made great memories. We will definitely be back!!!!

This was the perfect getaway! We enjoyed hiking, fishing, and the treats that were provided. The cabin was clean and cozy and the view was spectacular.
This was our second time staying & of course, it was amazing! The location & view is so worth it! Sheila was so informative of the Christmas events going on in the town, which we loved. Love staying here & will be our spot every time we go visit family!
The cabin is quaint and peaceful. The veiws are beautiful. Well stocked and very sufficient for our needs. Did a bit of fishing on the pond and caught some nice bass on the fly rod. We visited the area to drive the backroads and enjoy the fall colors.
We had a great stay. The cabin is off the beaten path and it allowed us to disconnect from the world for a couple of days with our dog. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire and watching our dog swim in the lake. The boat was fun to paddle out in the early evening. We didn’t fish but they sure were jumping. My only negative experiences were a couple of bugs in the cabin, one in the sink and one in the room on one
Of the iPads. It’s a cabin, it’s to be expected. The cabin was immaculate. The other item was that ahead of the trip I was informed of damages left by prior visitors and it was also restated on a note on the counter. It made me feel uncomfortable to know this and made me a little apprehensive for the rest of the trip. Also, this cabin was recommended to me by a prior guest who spoke highly of the trip and then received a low rating for cleanliness, overall, and house rules and they did not get a reason why from the host. This also lessened my enjoyment because I knew they had such a great time and the review left them confused and again, left us afraid to truly enjoy the stay in a relaxed state.
Very nice place too stay. I do wish the pond had better access around it. The fishing is perfect for little kids. All we caught were smallmouth 8-12 in. Which we caught plenty, but I was looking for big largemouth. The pond is very clean and healthy but unfortunately I believe the fish are stunted. The sign is, when all you catch is the same species and sizes. The pond has some awesome potential! Hosts were easy to work with. Overall it was a very nice place too stay.
