Pine Haven Retreat — A Modern Farmhouse Camper in the Heart of Broken Bow
Welcome to Pine Haven Retreat, a completely remodeled, one-of-a-kind RV experience at Bigfoot Adventure Luxury RV Park in Hochatown/Broken Bow, Oklahoma. This isn't your average camper — we've put serious love into transforming this RV with a custom exterior wrap, modern farmhouse style, and a cozy, high-end feel throughout. That said, it is still a camper at a campground in the woods, and we want to be upfront about that. If you love the outdoors, appreciate a well-done rig, and enjoy the campground lifestyle, you're going to love this place. If you're expecting a luxury cabin or hotel experience, this probably isn't the right fit — and that's okay.
The Space
Inside you'll find a surprisingly comfortable and stylish setup. The main bedroom features a queen bed with quality bedding and a big TV with a soundbar to watch movies in bed, and a second cozy bedroom has three twin beds with a TV — great for kids or a group of friends. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook real meals, not just reheat hot dogs. The spa-like bathroom has a nice walk-in shower. There's Wi-Fi, a TV, and a dedicated workspace if you need to get some work done. Everything has been updated with modern finishes and thoughtful touches to make your stay feel special.
The Outdoors
This is where the magic happens. Your campsite includes a fire pit, picnic tables, and a built-in park-style Char-Broil grill. The grill is shared with the neighboring campsite (which is also ours — the Timberwolf) but is oriented toward your site. Sit around the fire, grill some burgers, and enjoy the trees and fresh air. The park also has a walking trail, a pond where you can fish, and a dog park if you're traveling with your four-legged friend. Please keep dogs on a leash when outside the dog park.
Important Expectations
We want every guest to have a five-star experience, and a big part of that is making sure expectations are set properly before you book.
This is a camper at a campground. You are in the woods in rural Oklahoma. With that comes everything you'd expect from an outdoor camping experience — bugs, wildlife, sounds of nature, the occasional critter passing through. We maintain our campsite and keep things as clean and comfortable as possible, but we do not control the park grounds, neighboring campsites, or adjacent properties. Things happen in the outdoors that are simply beyond our control, and we ask guests to approach those moments with a camping mindset rather than a hotel mindset.
The washer and dryer inside the RV are not available for guest use. However, the park office is a short walk away and has a nice laundry room with full-size paid washers and dryers. There are also private men's and women's restrooms and showers at the office, available free of charge.
If you've camped before, stayed in RVs, or simply enjoy a rustic outdoor getaway with some modern comforts, this is going to be a great fit. If you've never stayed in a camper and are picturing a cabin with a concierge service, we'd kindly suggest looking at other options in the area so you have the best experience possible.
Parking and Getting Around
Park anywhere in front of the camper at spot 9. Please don't block the road, and note that all roads in the park are one way only. Your entry is through the park — follow the signs to your site.
The Park
Bigfoot Adventure Luxury RV Park has some nice amenities. The office has small convenience items for sale if you forgot something. The laundry room and restrooms/showers are near the office. The pond and dog park are open to all guests. Please be respectful of neighboring campsites — don't walk through other people's sites, and keep things friendly. That's just good campground etiquette.
Communication and Check-In
We're available by phone or message and are happy to help with anything that comes up. We're based in Texas and have a local team in Oklahoma to assist when needed. We do our best to be responsive throughout the day and evening, but please understand that we may not be available late at night.
If you're planning a late arrival, this is really important: please review all check-in instructions, door codes, and directions while you still have good lighting and cell service. The campground is dark at night and there's limited lighting at the campsites. Trying to figure out check-in for the first time at midnight in the dark is not a fun experience for anyone. We strongly recommend arriving before dark, but if that's not possible, make sure you've read everything ahead of time and know exactly where you're going and how to get in.
Who This Is Perfect For
Couples looking for a unique Broken Bow getaway that's not the same cookie-cutter cabin everyone else books. Families who love the outdoors and want their kids to experience campground life with some upgraded comfort. Friends on a fishing or hiking trip who want a solid home base. Road trippers and RV enthusiasts who can appreciate what we've done with the place. Anyone who loves a good fire pit evening under the stars.
Who This Might Not Be For
Guests who have never stayed in a camper and are expecting a full-size home, luxury cabin, or hotel. If you're not comfortable with the idea of being at a campground in the woods where nature does its thing, we'd recommend exploring cabin options in the Broken Bow area instead. There are tons of great ones. No hard feelings — we just want everyone to have a great time, and that starts with the right expectations.
We've put a lot of heart into Pine Haven Retreat and we're proud of what it's become. If this sounds like your kind of getaway, we'd love to host you.
